LATIOS! YOU'RE THE BOSS NOW!! Congrats! I couldn't think of a better person to take charge, really. It made my day when I saw that Jamaha put you in charge! 

The sheet has now been reduced to one page and 8vb added where the bass drops down to an F below the stave. I tend to think that too many 8vb/8va can affect the visual ease of reading, particularly if there's not that many ledger lines or if octaves are used. (I was also told this years ago because I used it too much!)

Yug: Ah, yes, I'm quite aware of that, but my choice was "Stage Select" or "Tumblecube Island". Regardless of what it's actually called, I went with the less generic title. And I haven't a clue who wrote the piece, but seeing as those in the film industry just refer to the guy put at the top of the page, so did I. We can always fix when/if an official release comes out.

[Pokémon Quest]

Hi all! Yes, it's been a while! It'll probably keep being as sporadic as this too, I'm afraid... I've been so busy with life that I can't keep doing things like this. I'm a professional woodwind player now and people pay me money to toot, so that takes precedence over the free stuff. I've really enjoyed my arranging over the years and will continue to do something every now and then when I have the time to! I might even go back and fix up some of my older sheets - the 'quality' is questionable with some of 'em. 

Anyhoo, Pokémon Quest came out last week and I absolutely LOVE the tune for Tumblecube Island, so here it is!

Was it shiny during the cutscenes when you received it? That'd be really impressive, but I'm guessing it suddenly turned shiny when it entered your party.

Well, it was Special Attack up, Defence down. Not really going to use any special moves, but at least it wasn't attack down!

Nup, only shiny when it got to the naming screen. Totally caught me by surprise, I can tell you! 

I FEEL THE NEED TO SHARE MY UNFATHOMABLE GLEE WITH YOU AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE. I was trying to get a good nature for my Litten and ended up with this on the fifth attempt!

...Part of the reason why I thought transcribing Shovel Knight music was easy was because Jake "virt" Kaufman was kind enough to release his .nsf for the entire soundtrack. It's readable as sheet music of sorts if you download NSF Importer and figure out how to read Famitracker files.

Hi! Feel free to post away! I like it when people talk! Anyways, I remember hearing about this! Sadly, I'm no tech guru at all, so all of this goes completely over my head... I remember someone found MIDI files of the entire Pokemon Black/White soundtrack and I thought it was cheating, seeing as this is good practise for your ears.

With that being said, according to both Song 4 of the .nsf and my memory of the song, the topmost repeated (melody) notes of the eighth-note triplet in Bars 11 and 75 should be replaced with a quarter note. I suspect that the .nsf will reveal other, less glaring inaccuracies.

Oh yes, I remember that part! At the time, it was an artistic decision to make the entire beat triplet-y, but now that I look back on it, I'm not sure why... I'll get around to fixing that. XD

I wonder if it's not better to ditch the octaves at measures like measure 19. And instead have "single notes" staccato. I would be way easier in terms of playability.

Thanks, Tobbeh! That seems to be everyone's bug - those octaves. I guess I should change them too, seeing as people just can't get gud.

I dunno, but I can't get enough of them. XD

...What if someone has no freakin' idea what the piece is? I only listen to high-quality videogame rips a very select amount of Nintendo music, so if it wasn't a common tune, I'd be lost. XD

Fantasy Life 2 has been announced, but only for smartphones which is pretty lame. You might like Professor Layton's London Life, which was originally the basis for Fantasy Life and is included with Professor Layton and the Last Specter. Although I'm not sure if the Australian games came with it too.

Awwww, lame. I actually haven't tried any of the Professor Layton games! Maybe I need to change that.

Another Fantasy Life would be most appreciated! It's literally my favourite game for the 3DS - 258 hours well-spent!
