I remember this site. It hasn't even changed. This shit was my childhood, yo. Nostalgia.

So, do people still post here or is basically dead? Anyone still here from the good old days (from the original boards before they got shut down and this iteration was established)?

so my email isn't letting me attach a .mus to an email. is it just something with my email or is this a known problem?

if you can't do anything about it, is there a way to save a .mus as a .pdf? because my email allows for .pdf attachments but not .mus attachments for some reason.

thanks, i just really need to email two of my friends a .mus.

Help! / i have a question about what we are allowed to do.

okay, near the end of the old forums we were talking about allowing music from other companies and from movies. since now we can do non-Nintendo stuff, can we do movie music as well? this might have been asked before, but i don't remember the answer...

well, here is the place where i will share my strange, disturbing, and awfully epically composed songs.

Well, here is my next piece of music. This one i actually tried to make sound good, so it's not just a bunch of notes. This is my first attempt in earnest at making a real piece of music. It's a medley of song from the Dark Knight and Batman Begins soundtracks.

It's still a work in progress, so let me know what you think (and yes, I know the left hand part is insane, I play it with my right hand and play all the right hand stuff with my left hand :-\)

So, check it out: Dark Knight/Batman Begins Soundtrack Medley (it doesn't really have a title...)

up next is a fantastically maniacal piece called The Insane King. i hope you enjoy it as much as my last one.

 as you will see, i took some of your complaints to heart...

first up is something i threw together in record time: something i call, Danger Island.

feel free to comment however you like.

so yeah, is premiering the first trailer for LoZ! it looks kind of inspired by TP and OoT. the CG effects look kind of iffy right now, but it's nothing that post-production won't fix. so yeah it comes out a year from today. check it out:

Movies & TV / I found this poem about TV...
« on: March 31, 2008, 09:58:23 PM »
so i had to take this online English test for school (15/21 correct FTW!) and one of the questions was about a poem. here's the poem:

        Disappearing in the TV Room

We switch him on while we eat, while we dine,
The bright pictures twitching something of fame.
He promises that life won't be the same
Without the shows at seven, eight, or nine.
We make our claim on territories old
And scramble over cushions, couch, and floor;
Adjust the volume to a gentle roar;
Accept channels from the box square and cold.
With glowing, green-lit face the creature tells
Of product offers, fashion finds and brands.
Consuming viewers hold out ready hands.
He lures them in and sells and sells and sells.
In innocence whole evenings we devote
To worshipfully gazing at the screen,
Digesting mindless plotlines scene by scene,
Expressing our approval by remote.
His hunger never satisfied, he tries
To reach inside the cupboards of our minds
In search of easy pickings of all kinds;
He mixes them with fantasy and lies.
In easy comfort we take mental flight;
The comic, action, romance jester grins.
If those plugged in stay tuned he knows he wins,
Cashing our hours as day turns into night.
With still, unblinking sloth we watch, and thus
Our muscles are diminished with our brains.
We lose our freedom while he entertains,
Forgetting life's not happening to us.

the first thing i thought after reading it was, 'wow that's awful.' then i realized how untrue all that is. it's basically saying that we (namely us US Americans) are slaves to television and that we are like zombies when we are confronted by TV. i strongly disagree with the message of this poem, what do you think?

Nintendo / Voice Chat
« on: February 27, 2008, 11:56:59 PM »
in the Mario Kart Wii thread musicguy49 asked a good question
I wonder what'll be the first Nintendo voice chat game...
well, let's see what YOU think!

(also the above options are a mixture of real upcoming games and probable games that Nintendo would be crazy not to make.)

i chose Star Fox, because it really has the most possible use. assuming Star Fox Wii will have online (which will be awesome) just imagine how cool it would be.

...even though we all know there would be one kid who would just keep shouting 'Do a barrel roll!!!' over and over.
