the weather sucks where i live too. it's thundering right now. *Boom* it's cool how if the thunder is really loud the windows vibrate a bit and make a cool noise.

this is what i do:

1: read through it (with the music obviously because it's the first time)
2: don't look at hands
3: don't look at music
4: (once i can play it as best i can) look at both when i need to (hands for jumps/technical parts, sheets for long chords or when there are a lot of notes)

(sometimes i can skip #2 if it's really easy)

and i don't have a teacher so this just is what works for me, not anything i've been told to do.

if he's using the pedal (and i don't know, i haven't played that song) can't he just press down the E-G-B chord and then release those notes while still holding the higher E and then play the B B?

MGS4 was SO worth buying a ps3 for.  And gamer, MGS4 looks better than CRYSIS.  There isn't a single game on the 360 that even matches crysis right now, so ps3 wins.   WOOT
