Quote from: Hero of Trains on July 27, 2016, 02:25:50 PMI just got my NEW OCARINA in the mail! I'm way too excited about this. I got the one from stein ocarina in blue, and it works great so far! I'm going to start by learning Zelda songs, of course, but hopefully I'll be able to play your arrangements soon! Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it!
Hella!

I'm glad you're excited. You can always ask me things if you run into any problems.

docjazz has tutorial videos for Majora's Mask tunes and Stone Tower Temple specifically if you want to start with those

Quote from: Hero of Trains on July 16, 2016, 08:34:59 PMAll of the music you've posted has actually made me want to learn how to play the ocarina, is there any brand you think I should buy to start with? I don't really know how to do wind instruments so I'd want something easy to use.
HUGE SUCCEEDED!

Ships from Taiwan but usually only takes a week to arrive. You can also find these on songbird if you live in America.

This is the ocarina I started with. It doesn't require a lot of breath to get a good note and the flat surface on the right hand is easier than rounder surfaces in my opinion.
Also comes in pink (!!), blue, purple, and the most disgusting green (look for the ones that say "12AC-P-[colour abbreviation]")

This one by STL is very good too if you want one that's zelda inspired. About the same as the focalink minus the flat surface.

My friend tells me that most of STL's other ocarinas are generally not that good.

I don't know much about clay ocarinas if you wanted one of those instead, but you can ask me about them and I'll send them to my more knowledgeable ocarina friend.

Docjazz4 has a ton of tutorials and covers for ocarina.

some good videos to get you started

Quote from: NocturneOfShadow on July 05, 2016, 08:33:24 AMIt's not that I'm not interested in your music, more that if it's not zelda I don't have a reason to listen to it!

Thanks, I don't really do much zelda music tbh.

Quote from: Jub3r7 on June 28, 2016, 08:59:22 PMI was out and about somewhere when I saw your message and forget to check it again later. Thank you for all your hard work.

You've always supported me and I appreciate that.

Quote from: Bubbles on June 28, 2016, 09:07:07 PMbecause every time I see you post here I think "he's still around!! omg" even if I don't know the game/song you arranged and I can't enjoy it like the others. I like seeing you around :c

Well you just might have to get used to not seeing me around any more hun, and if I leave again it'll be permanent this time :).
