Quote from: Dude on December 01, 2010, 12:29:45 PMI think DekuTrombonist is the only one of those who actually updates the site.

Concerto and Nakah do stuff, but Ninny hasn't been seen for a few weeks/months...
i'd hafta agree...
Yep, me too. :P  DekuTrombonist certainly deserves the most credit for everything that's going on now, and he's certainly showing no signs of stopping.

I visit the site multiple times a day to keep up to date on what's going on, but I definitely don't contribute anything any more.  I still want the best for the site though.

I think there was a version of it but it was probably so bad that somebody took pity on the world and took it down.  I know I saw one somewhere on here.  Unless it was just in the Submission forum.

I thought it was attack of the clones because the sheets were replacements, so they were kind of like clones of the ones on the site already...  Forget it.

Deku, if you still don't feel comfortable accepting your own arrangements, I'm willing to take a look at whatever you want to submit (including your infinite replacements that I know you have).  Mostly because I know they'll all be nearly flawless.

Feedback / Re: Providing PDF and MSCZ?

Someone is now obligated to create a site called Megafire that combines the two.  Somehow.  It will be marvelous.

Wow, really?  I can understand complaints about lacks of updates but people are complaining about an updater wanting songs to be at a certain standard?  I don't think you all understand.  It is a lot of work to go through a bunch of songs checking them for problems.  Having to fix problems on top of that is even more work.  If you want updates, it's in your best interests to do everything you can to help out.  If you disagree with something but can make a valid argument for the way you did it, then any reasonable person would accept it and move on, but "I like it this way" is not a valid argument.  Putting that little extra effort in can make a big difference.  A well-done sheet is not only better for the site's reputation; it's also better for YOUR reputation.

Long story short, for the time being, if you want your stuff on the site, it needs to be up to TheDekuTrombonist's standards.

Feedback / Re: Sheet Music Categories
October 04, 2010, 03:50:17 PM
Quote from: DekuTrombonist on October 01, 2010, 04:02:24 AMI'm pretty sure all that needs to be done is for the existing sheets to be deleted from their current category and for them to be reuploaded in a new category. Although in practice, it could end up being more work than it sounds.
This.

I think PDF is probably the only viable option for switching everything over.  I don't see any reason (or easy way other than manual reproduction) to switch to another sheet music program format.  I don't think it would be completely out of the question to start accepting sheets in additional formats, but I think MUS will continue to be a requirement for a while.

Well, you can stop wondering if a "site editor" would add it in because that's pretty much JaMaHa. :P

It would definitely help with a lot of the questions we get here...  Especially "How do I download the sheets?!"

That's because the answer to your question, as the answer to that particular question will always be, is the following:

It will get here when it gets here.

Just hold tight, live your life, and be pleasantly surprised when another update comes around.
