Ok, I know we've got a pretty sizable DR fandom on NSM but no topic for it.  This is unacceptable.

Since the Super Dangan Ronpa 2 LP is ongoing, this gives us a place to discuss and theorize about at, as well as gush over our favorite characters and such (I like Komaeda and Fujisaki).

If you haven't read through Dangan Ronpa, the complete LP can be found here.  The mirror of the Super Dangan Ronpa 2 LP can be found here because fuck the SA paywall.  Since Oren is Super High School Level Slow, you can finish SDR2 by using this LP that's up through chapter 3 and this one that started with chapter 4 and is finished.

Not entirely sure if the drums in the intro are doable, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the song is!

So it turns out that both me and blueflower like VG Music (Surprise Surprise), and, while I was waiting for the games I got off the humble bundle, I realised, I had nothing to do during my school holidays, the TWG was taking a stupid long time, no-one was posting any more characters in the Ranking thing, and indie games could only take me so long.

So, I Suddenly came up with a thought, "Why don't I host a competition on the forum about music, and FACE off against my best friend on the forum." And thus, this was born.

So, pretty much, each of us posts a different song every day, and the NSM community votes on which song is "better". After a While, we tally up the wins, and the person with less wins gives the person with more wins a prize of some sort.

At school, people know me as a well read person for some reason or another (maybe because i read tv tropes???), and it is somewhat true, I have seen a lot of works in the 13 years that I have existed, across a wide range of catagories (Literature, Animu, Films, Video games, all that cool stuff).

So one day, I got bored, and (after seeing an identical thread on another forum I go to). I decided to make this as something to vent my boredom.

Notes:

1. ONLY 8 CHARACTERS PER MEMBER. This is so that more people can participate, and that people will put less joke nominations, and put more characters they care about.

2. If there's a character I'm less familiar with, if possible, please give me a video or something that would give me a good idea of the character (more on familarity down this post).

3. Please try to keep Literature characters to a minimun, mostly because it's hard for me to find books, and they can sometimes take a long time to read.

 On Familarity

Very Familiar: Characters I know everything about. I was probably obsessed with their universe at one time or another, and may have spent time jokingly or not-jokingly analyzing how they think. I've probably wasted a lot of time searching for fan-related material of them or their universe. A lot of people probably don't have characters like this, because they aren't as obsessive as I am. Examples: FFVI Characters, Total Drama Characters, Crazy Dave.

Familiar: I knew enough about them to formulate an educated opinion, but not everything. These are characters from works I haven't finished, or have, but don't think I was paying enough attention to really get everything about them. Examples: Bleach Characters, One Piece Characcters, Miles Edgeworth

Semi-Familiar: I've played or watched something with them in it, but if I were to rank them now, it'd just be based off that one work, rather than their whole character across many. Examples: FFIV Characters, TF2 Characters.

Unfamiliar: I've dipped my toes into their work, but my impressions of them would be mostly first impressions. Examples: Fawful, Most Elder Scrolls Characters, Mortal Kombat Characters, FFVIII

Very Acquainted: Characters who, while I've not personally experienced, have leaked into pop culture and discussion enough that I have a relatively good feel for their personality. Examples: Chuck Norris, Slenderman

Acquainted: I know some minor things about this character through hearsay, but certainly not enough to form a well-reasoned opinion of them. Examples: A lot of anime characters.

Unacquainted: I know this character's name, source, and maybe a technical fact or two like where they live or what their job is. But nothing more. Examples:
Mega Man X Characters, Game of Thrones characters.

Aware: I am aware of this character's existence. I have heard their name and may recognize their appearance, and (if you're lucky) can connect the two. But that's it. Example: The Batter.

Unaware: Never heard of this character before.
