Hi folks, I have been resurrected from watching speed runs of Paper Mario (as yesterday was its 14 year anniversary in the US) and I wanted to get back into the arranging game (no pun intended)

Edited: Here's my NEW arrangement (that I did in one long sitting) of Club 64 (hope you like because I stayed up late on this one, but as you hear it was worth it!)

ENJOY!!!  ;D

So sad when I found out this happened. Here's a link to all of my video game arrangements that I put together on my own site!

[N64] Paper Mario - "Keeping Pace (General Guy's Theme)" - nacho2420 MUS MIDI PDF Youtube

Deku: Just a couple of small things:The bit at bar 9 only plays 3 times, not 4.
Perhaps you could add some of the hits that come at the end of the 2nd time?
Rhythm in bar 24 beat 2 is 2 8ths, not dotted.
End of bar 5, is that meant to be a complete triad?

[N64] Banjo Tooie - "Cloud Cuckooland" - nacho2420 MUS MIDI PDF Youtube
Status: Accepted

nacho2420: Couldn't get the glissandos to do what I wanted it to do for Cloud Cuckooland.

Deku: Yay, great job on this. I'll see what I can do about the glissandos, but's not a big issue.

[N64] Paper Mario - "Tubba Blubba's Castle" - nacho2420 MUS MIDI PDF Youtube

Deku: 2 things. The A's in bar 8 are Ab's (or G#'s, however you want to spell them). And I think the "dum-da-da-dum-dum" chords would capture the feel better at the end of bar 10 and wherever that comes again.

Quote from: DekuTrombonist on February 12, 2012, 07:28:09 PMNice work on Cloud Cuckooland!

If I can make one suggestion, can you fix up some of the enharmonic spellings, mainly in the chords but a little in the melody too? For example bar3, beat 2 is a Gb7 chord (or F#7, I only say Gb because you've got a Db in the bass) so it needs a Gb & Fb; bar 3 beat 4 is a B7 chord (needs D# not Eb) etc etc. If you need a better explanation, ask pumpy_heart ;) I think he's a little better at explaining these things than me

Thanks! The chromaticism in this song is so abundant I didn't look too far into the enharmonic spelling. I fixed them and they do look better.

New arrangement! After listening to the Paper Mario soundtrack, I decided to arrange the track "Approach to the Mansion"
It's very dissonant and eerie, and as I remember 11 or so years ago, it set a really spooky mood, especially with all those tri-tones.
Hope you like, feedback greatly appreciated.

PS Here's my fixed version of Prickly Pear Island

I just had to arrange this because it's so cool. Would have loved both this and the original to have ended up in the game, if only that were possible lol. I found the audio of the BETA version here on Grant Kirkhope's website.

Status: Needs to be fixed

Deku: Those runs on the second page pretty much impossible. If you could edit those, that'd be good.

Thanks!! That gave me ideas on how to make this a whole lot better. I think it's ready to be submitted. Here it is!

Here's a new one that I found in the request forum. It's missing some inner color (the right hand is basically the melody and the left hand is the bass part in the recording) but there's some other nuances going on and I'm not sure how to jam that in this piece while still making it playable. Should I arrange this piece as a piano duet with optional 2nd piano? Should I leave as is? What should I do?

Deku: I fixed the link to the Mus file, it wasn't working.

I was planning on making a piano duet for this one, I just never finished

Edit: I have here a preview of what it will look like on one piano (instead of a duet) but I'm not sure if that will be the final version. In the mean time, I'll be looking for feedback. Hope you guys like it

How could I submit a song that's already on the site? like, is it possible to ever have 2 versions of a song or could I possibly dispute that mine is better and could replace an older one?
