ever since my 360 red-ringed on me about 3 weeks ago, i haven't played much and i also have my finals...

but under normal circumstances i would just say that i play ds and pc with touches of 360/wii...

hmm... maybe that's why you're discriminated against? an elitist attitude like that surely won't do you any good...

classical music is not enjoyed like it used to be... remember, its peak was a few hundred years ago... which means currently, for the most part it is used as an educational tool which i think might be part of the dislike for it, because due to the amount of history behind it there is so much to learn and it is easy to confuse someone who doesn't understand it... 

the thing is that anyone who studies music educationally will likely appreciate classical music, but those who just listen for enjoyment will likely not enjoy it as much because there is all the history and understanding that needs to be put into it to understand it... whereas modern music does not have that background yet because its modern...

i hated the landmaster levels in sf64... the submarine level was alright though... multiplayer was only good with arwings though... the boss of the asteroid field lvl to this day remains one of my favourite bosses for some reason, i just remember being amazed by the purple ring attack lol...

id personally give it a 9.0, but it should probably deserve a lower score...

since i assume you're arranging to create a faithful piano arrangement to the actual piece... it is not so much of determining cadences as following the music, since most video game music is fairly predictable, the cadences will seem natural and often are quite defined, you won't/don't need to look for them, this is not analysis... you just need to tank it out a bit and figure out the first chord, then determine the rest through listening for the intervals changes by ear

sorry but i don't think that's really true at all... video game music is influenced by many styles, not just classical and it depends on the type of game you're playing... however, most video game composers are classical-trained just because classical pieces are a great foundation for understanding music in general so no doubt there are classical elements that show up in video game pieces...

also, minimalistic and jazz based video game music is fairly common and sometimes you even get the odd stuff occasionally like 12-tone... and its possible that the liking of both videogame-classical music might just be a reference to the demographic that plays video games...

emulators are amazing lol... i re-played so many games that way...

does anyone know what the buttons on the DSi are like? are they like the buttons on the original ds or like the buttons on the ds lite... cause i HATED the ds lite buttons, which is why i never got it... but i want the better lit back-screen, so if the DSi buttons are like the ds original, then i think i'll probably get one...

I haven't heard much nobou... I only have FF12 and that's not composed by Nobou... right?

that was composed by sakimoto (the guy who did final fantasy tactics series music and some other stuff i can't remember)... i think nobuo only really got credit in that game b/c an arrangement of the final fantasy theme was used and battle of the big bridge (i think*)... but only arrangements of previous compositions of his were used as far as i know, sakimoto composed all the new stuff...

greek is right, sin(2pi) is 0... just think about a standard sine curve, it hits the x axis twice in one full period (well technically three in one period), at 0, pi and 2pi, and since the sine curve continues the same way, at 4pi, it would also equal zero...

in the very unlikely case that someone would catch wind of it, it would do likely next to nothing...

nsm is built on multiple, non-professional (sorry if someone here actually is) arrangers, so plagerism is not uncommon and is almost to be expected... and square enix and many other companies could make big cases in general for almost all sheet music sites if they REALLY wanted to, but they're not going to bother even looking for cases of it...

in short, don't worry about it... but if they are indeed ripped directly from somewhere else's work, they should be taken down/replaced eventually...

That piano sonata was good... But I agree with gamer, Rachmaninov composes very epic pieces of music...

and i think the flight of the bumblebee is not that great, it's a great accomplishment in terms that it really does sound like a bumblebee, but it doesn't really have an epic feel to it...
