Nintendo / Re: Sell my Wii?

do not bother with ps3 or psp, both are just inferior to other things (360 and ds respectively)... 360 is probably your best bet...

Gaming / Re: Who plays competetive?

Quote from: SuMa on September 15, 2008, 09:06:57 AMA truly acknowledgable post of yours Tranzlater
I agree. I do play a game competetive (go play at a friends house once a weekend and am up to date for tourneys and like to play against Bots and destroy them with Techskill and Combos (ooooh what is that game?^^ take a wild guess it starts with super)
and believe me its a very VERY deep game, you really need to be smart and creative in that game, there are many ways to overwhelm your opponent and the game gets deeper and much more fun finding ways to trick your opponent

I do also watch Videos of other players on YouTube, and Im not the only one obviously, also I am active in the Forums
But still, I have a Real Life, go to school and am good at School learning and working hard, Im not often at the Computer

And still i love the game because its so deep
You can see it as a sport, but EXACTLY as a Sport because it isnt like you cover up all your spare time with the game and therefore how some say ''suck at real life'' to put it harshly

I like playing games like Mario Galaxy or Mario 64 or Old School games but I dont check up whats coming up next in the later years, that I do not care, like you said Tranzlater

not to be rude, but this seems like a needless, self-appreciation thread... just because you may be a so called "hard-core" gamer because you can waveshine, shuffle, l-cancel etc. and you spend the time to develop your pokemon with precise amounts of EV points, it is admirable that you have spent your time with these things, but do not instantly place yourself on a platform above casual gamers just because you can...

you should be a little mindful of your tone...

Quote from: WiiMan96 on September 14, 2008, 01:27:27 AMI've checked, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but my method of arranging is utilised by many on this site. I will repeat: I do not convert MIDI into MUS and submit, I start an entirely different document, retype in the appropriate sections of the MIDI-MUS, and fix it from there. I believe that's what the literal definition of ARRANGING is? having it reARRANGEd?

http://www.ninsheetmusic.net/forum/index.php?topic=774.0

Thanks :-\

sorry this is a bit late... but just to clarify, based on WHAT it previously looked liked, it looked like you simply copied the midi without any thought at all, a simple ctrl-c, ctrl-v... if you've put some serious thought into it, instead of just pasting two voices from the midi into the bass and treble clef, then it is still allowed...

sorry about this...

nice job on the updated buoy base galaxy... it's only better now lol...

Help! / Re: Midi Submissions?
September 17, 2008, 06:04:49 PM
well... if you submit them under the original midi arranger's name, then i suppose that would be alright... but then you would probably want to ask for their permission...

i don't think you'd be allowed to do it... but if you did, you would HAVE to ensure that you credit the original arranger...

thanks!

i know that some of my videos have mistakes and even my newer ones where i've tried to avoid them... but the problem is that i don't primarily play VGM, i have a whole repertoire of classical music that i focus primarily on so my VGM is often out of practice, but still nonetheless i try to play as perfectly as possible... and in addition i play a lot of actual video games and being in the stupid IB program, i've got A LOT of homework...

i may re-record some of my older, lack-lustre videos some time in the future, but thanks!

Quote from: Palagerini on September 16, 2008, 04:38:28 AMon a side note... how is fire emblem radiant dawn? it looked pretty good and i was thinking about getting it...

radiant dawn is more difficult than FE9 or FE8 (lol) for example, but that's a good thing... but only the first parts, which i might compare to hector hard mode from FE7 (which really isn't that hard)... and when you're in trouble, turtling never fails...

but radiant dawn has a horribly told story... but if you liked any other fire emblem, then you should like this one...

GAH!!! STUPID GOD DAMN internet crapped out... parents had to call stupid bell to get it fixed -_-

Nintendo / Re: Madworld - Looks pretty damn awesome.
September 14, 2008, 12:28:00 PM
the art style is a smart decision... wii can't compete in the realistic graphics category, so it's good that they've decided to go to a black-white, drawn style...

anyways, i'm not a big fan of this game but, it looks like it might turn out decent...

well the truth is... aside from the good games on 360, shooters or not, there are in honesty a lot of pretty crappy generic shooters, just like the wii has some good games, but also has millions of random crappy games about ponies etc.

the 360 is the better system in every way except for marketing in which the wii frankly dominates... even nintendo's first-party franchises aren't enough to keep the ship afloat to hardcore gamers, and because of other reasons such as general lack of multiplayer... but assuming the generation population of the world still remains in love with the wii, it will be nintendo who will continue to bring in the cash, which is every companies true goal, to make money...

on a side note, the newer generation of gamers, tend to be kids who think that they're incredible, crazy hardcore gamers just because they're busy shooting something...  and because of this, the 'new' definition for hardcore has become almost synonymous with the fps genre, or more specifically blood, gore and shooting... which is kind of sad... but i'm not sure if the nintendo fanboys who cling desperately to nintendo despite nintendo vehemently ignoring their pleas are sadder or not...

anyways, that was off-topic but nintendo may (and has already) lose/lost credibility among the 'hardcore' gamers, both new and old, but it's still on top of the gaming market in terms of cash...
