for your brawl gallery arrangement...

not to be rude, but did you copy it off a midi or something? that bass is so contorted and frankly (sorry), ugly sounding, it seems like you either A) placed random notes or B) ripped off a midi... i assume you know that copying midis is wrong, and if i'm wrong about you copying a midi, then i apologize...

for your glitzville arrangement, i assume you know that many of those intervals from bars 1-30 stretch FAR beyond those of a normal hand length... they could be played by the left hand, but if so, you should write them in nicely, as in put them in the bass stave...

FFX arrangement, song of prayer... i've never played FFX, but this is absurdly simple almost to the point where making a sheet is more work than actually learning/playing it... there's nothing 'wrong' with it, per-say, but it just doesnt seem quite right...

harvest moon, fall arrangement... bars 1-7, are a little on the more difficult side, i'd say that generally, they're leaning on a more impossible level... just an odd thought... i've always known harvest moon to be very calming and slow, but this arrangement doesnt seem to fit that mood at all, or even if it's not the arrangement, this "fall" song, does not seem to suit harvest moon or fall...

anyways, i guess i'll look at the other ones later, but yeah...

ok... forest temple bar 7, i think the chord in the left hand isn't right (not the blue notes)... lol, those 16th notes are just asking for hand cramps, especially if you try to play the chords as well...

and those blue notes really hurt my eyes lol... but i like the arrangement...

torvus bog, anything to add to the arrangement that will actually make it appealing for someone to actually play? cause all those empty bars with just chords, are really not interesting to play at all... it's accurate i guess, but no fun to play at all in my opinion...

artifact temple... i didnt know there was that much to the song... anyways, i liked it...

pretty decent stuff, keep it up.

Quote from: WiiMan96 on September 13, 2008, 05:55:05 PMOkay...  :o

1. Dr. Mario Fever is already on the site (sorry)
2. Super Mario Galaxy is being arranged by someone else (sorry again)

And I do no know why no one has replied to this thread yet, oh well 1st post *waves flag*

but city connection is good, although I've never heard the original.

if his version of fever is better, then it can be replaced... and for arranging something else someone else is already arranging, they can be compared i suppose, this has happened time in the past...

as for the city connections arrangement, it sounds good... delete the extra bars at the end, and clean up the rest in the first bar... also, there's no articulation anywhere?

The Werewolf Game / Re: TWG III: Master Hand's Finale

i'll follow brawler and accomplish two things... i'm not 100% sure masterpenguin's a wolf, but im also suspicious of gooch, aside from him being inactive...

so i'll vote for Gooch, as a safety, and also cause i'm not 100% sure on my suspicions of both penguin and gooch... this way, penguin will still die, but it raises the chance of gooch being voted for, cause' im suspicious of him... anyways, too much garbage, i vote for Gooch.

ok... i'm assuming this is momentum, cause my formula doesn't look exactly like that, but similar...

so... ya, you could find the mass that way, use what jamaha wrote, you've written two final momentums, when there should be one final and one initial...

but since the mass didn't change, you could technically just use
p = mv for either the initial or final momentum and isolate for m that way...

alright... to add my opinion... alpras's version of the selection screen is simply more complete than g-han's version...

playing the black and red notes in bars 15-19 together would be difficult as they often overlap, or make for awkward hand positions that would make it difficult to continue... and like alpras said, red notes are optional notes, attempting to play both red and black notes together for those four bars is, in my opinion, almost a waste of time given the length of the piece... but yes, Alpras's version is much, much better than g-han's version...

i also glanced at your gusty garden galaxy arrangement... bar one, the right hand half-note chord should be a flats, not natural, that dissonant sound is anything but pleasant... also, bar 12, i don't know anyone who can stretch their hand to a 13th interval, so i'd suggest altering that bar... i know they are red notes, but i think they should be played along with the black notes as they are quite important for setting the beat and pacing for the piece...

but good job on your stuff...

Music / Re: Give the best shot!

hate to be a pain... but if you're really looking for consistent quality mario and zelda stuff, the better music is frankly from gamemusicthemes.com

there are NSM arrangements that are good if you're willing to search through all the sheets, but there are also many that lack elements that make better sheets...

Quote from: Tranzlater on September 04, 2008, 09:24:10 AMI gotta go for Kondo, his work on galaxy was IMMENSE
Kenji Yamamoto did good work on Super Metroid and the Prime series.

kondo only composed i think 4 songs for galaxy, the only one that i know for sure is good egg galaxy and i think the observatory music... other than his remixed songs...

the majority of music in galaxy was done by Mahito Yokota though...

Quote from: Zikau on September 09, 2008, 10:39:29 PMThanks so much again Nintendo Sheet Music contributors and staff!   :D

Welcome to the site. But, I think the general consensus is that we go by NSM now, not nintendo sheet music as the site is now open to music from all games.

Nintendo / Re: What game is more urgent for me to get?

if you like the guitar hero series... then go with that absolutely over the sonic game, recent sonic games have been mediocre at best, better to get something that you'll probably enjoy more than the other...

I'm pretty sure that's coming for the virtual console...

Quote from: kotorfanboy on September 07, 2008, 02:20:37 PMAlright, I know Wrydryn and Jake in real life. If you don't trust our word, then at least trust this: if one of us was a wolf, the others would have found out about it. If two of us had been wolves, we still might have found out about it. The fact that none of us posted anything on the forums saying we thought one of the other three were suspicious, is testimony enough that we are all human. If Jake and i had been human and wrydryn a wolf, we would have picked up on it, and posted about it on the topic. We didnt. No one did. Meaning that we were all humans, who all trusted each other. The only scenario in which one of us was a wolf and he got away without it being told to everyone on the forum was if all three of us were wolves, which is an extremely small possibility. It's not 100% proof, just like none of you guys have 100% proof. But it is a higher chance I'm human. If I saw anything suspicious in them, I would have told everyone about it. Because not one of us thought any of the others were suspicous, it means that  we all thought each other were humans. Like I said, thinking someone is a human in real life is much more concrete evidence than thinking someone over the internet is a human. That's all I've got to say. take it or leave it.

"if one of us was a wolf, the others would have found out about it."
No, just because you can analyze someone better in real life, does not mean that you're always correctly analyzing them.

there is no testimony that you were all human, it's quite possible that someone could have been fooled... the chance that someone was fooled is not small, if one of you three was a wolf, they would try and hide it unless they wanted to lose the game... which makes little sense to me...

and no you are not "logically more probable to be a human", we have no record (as in chat logs, forum posts) of any discussion between you, jake and wrydryn, so you're asking us to just take your word for it, for all we know, you could be a wolf trying to fool us or you could be a human honestly trying to prove your innocence... frankly we don't know and without any evidence aside from your word, it just makes you, jake and wrydryn look suspicious...

I am going to vote for you kotorfanboy... this continuous returning to this is really making me suspicious of you, makes it seem like you're getting desperate and worried about this one thing and you've tried to defend yourself multiple times...
