I mean, this was going to happen at some point, wasn't it?

Unlike some unofficial arrangement projects, this is not being created with any expectations of ever becoming an official project, unless we are able to get some serious community effort behind it. While I would love that, only 3 NSMers have even played the game, so that doesn't seem too likely. As such, this will serve as a repository for Umineko sheets, claims, WIPs, and the like. I will not be listing the full soundtrack on this page as it's much too long to feasibly do so. You can find the Kai (Question Arc) soundtrack here, mostly in order of appearance in the series. and the Chiru (Answer Arc) here. As I'm playing through it, I'm compiling a list of the best tracks from the soundtrack. You can find the playlist here. Beware of indirect spoilers, mostly from the comments. If you wish to play the game, you can buy it from steam here, and the PS3 sprite patch is highly recommended which you can find here. This game gets my highest recommendation, and, if you know how finicky I am, that's certainly saying something. Anyway, on to the arrangements, which will be sorted alphabetically:

Umineko Kai:
Black Liliana - Maelstrom
HANE - McDucky [Submission]
Happiness of Marionette - Maelstrom
Hope - Maelstrom
far - Maelstrom
Fishy Aroma - Maelstrom [.mus]

Organ short #600 million in C minor - Maelstrom
System 0 - Maelstrom
Thank You for Being Born - Maelstrom [.mus]

Music / Piano Advice
« on: June 12, 2016, 08:02:19 PM »
So, there's this old lady who has a decent piano she'll give away for a donation if my family is interested. However, I have no clue how good it actually is, because it hasn't been tuned in many, many years.
From her description (Abridged)
Baldwin Monarch
Good condition
All the original parts
Says it's "neither an upright or spinet but called a consol from the 1930's"
Has a "baby-grand sounding board"

Any advice from piano aficionados? Is this a decent piano?

Music / Piano Practice Tips
« on: May 22, 2016, 09:36:35 PM »
Well, as everyone knows, I've been gone for a while, and am super out of practice with my piano skills.
Even before I left, I was getting really out of practice.
However, the time has come to be serious again. So, what kind of warm ups/thingies are recommended?
I honestly forget where to start in the whole technical practice side of things.
It's been a while, ok?
Also, I remember (and still have) trouble when doing two things with both hands that are quite different and have different rhythms, especially when the LH isn't that repetitive in a song. Are there any suggested exercises to help with that besides playing straight music?

Bounty time.
If anyone arranges this (well enough) I will learn, record it, and put it on youtube.

Help! / Finale 2011 Crashes
« on: September 05, 2015, 01:21:41 AM »
Welp. I'm trying to double the length of the notes while revising one of my arrangements, but finale crashes whenever I try to make it double even just a page of staves.
It's Tragic Decision, which you can find on my arrangement page if you want to help, because I'm too lazy to provide a link.
And although I already stated I use Finale 2011, let me reiterate that this means I can't open anything saved by any newer finale program.

Request / [PS1] Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Multiple Songs
« on: July 06, 2015, 04:26:26 PM »
The Castlevania section needs some more songs.
And I'd love to learn these.
The 3rd is probably my favorite. I'd arrange it myself, but I have yet to master arranging a swing tempo.

Completed by Latios212
I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this, but we need a replacement badly.

Help! / Pedal marks
« on: June 03, 2015, 02:33:44 AM »
How do I create pedal markings using that line thing instead of just using articulations?

Feedback / An Idea for the Betterment of the Site
« on: April 05, 2015, 09:26:09 PM »
I had this idea a few weeks ago and thought I'd finally share it.

Everyone knows that many of the sheets have formatting errors. Even the good ones from some time ago. So I propose this: Over the summer, certain individuals who have enough time and experience in formatting would fix the sheets on the site. Not the recent ones, mind you. This would not be a replacement project per say. There would be little to no note editing. And a changelog would accompany each piece to be double checked. It wouldn't take that long for an updater to check over it, as we are just going for improvements, not necessarily perfection
For example, take a great arrangement like G-Han's Wind Scene from Chrono Trigger.
I would:
Change the first measure to a pickup measure.
Fix the one measure system
Change the D sharps in the LH to E flats in M 25. (A dim)
G sharp --> A flat in M 31
Fix the overlapping rit.
Fix the URL
Move everything on the first page up some for a better spaced layout.

So, it would be my goal over the summer to fix up a lot of the sheets on the site. It would need to be by people who understand music theory somewhat. There would not be major changes done to any of these fixed sheets. This could also be used to create an exhaustive listing of sheets needing a replacement.

What do you guys think?

Nintendo / Xenoblade Chronicles (3D)
« on: March 25, 2015, 06:42:34 PM »
Because we totally need a Xenoblade thread. Please, use spoiler tags with a little hint as to what part of the game they are in.

It releases on April 2nd in PAL regions, and on the 10th in the US. The review embargo just lifted and it's sitting on an 88 on Metacritic right now.

Here's a launch trailer. But be warned. Major early game spoilers and very brief spoiler scenes are present, but so brief that not much can be discerned.
If you have already decided to get the game, skip it. If you are still undecided or have already beaten the Wii version, give it a look.

Request / [NDS] Ace Attorney - Multiple Songs
« on: February 20, 2015, 04:46:16 PM »
"Great Revival" - Completed by Onionleaf"
A few Ace Attorney requests handpicked by me.

Luke Atmey ~ I Just Want Love

Apollo Justice ~ A New Trial is in Session!
DS Version
Dual Destinies Version

Miles Edgeworth ~ Great Revival

Pearl Fey ~ With Pearly

Phoenix Wright ~ Objection 2004

There's a lot of songs I'd like arranged for piano, but I think these would work the best. I may eventually fill a few of these myself, but I'm not 100% sure.
