Help! / Large Medleys Tips
July 19, 2014, 08:18:28 PM
I'm planning on doing a large Kid Icarus Uprising medley next, but first, I'd like some advice on transitions between sections. Is it better to create an extra measure for a transition between keys, make it all similar keys, or just have it jump between sections?

Help! / Finale authorization
June 19, 2014, 05:33:12 PM
Alright. I finally got finale (2011), and the previous owner deauthorized it, but, whenever I try to connect to the internet, it keeps saying that it can't connect to authorize. I tried turning off the firewall, but nothing worked. Any suggestions?

:'(More requests!!  ;D (NOTE: MAJOR CHARACTER SPOILERS IN SONG TITLES)
There's a lot, but I will probably end up filling a few of these myself. (Arranged in Chronological order)

Spoiler
I know it's a lot, but I figured I'd just put them all in one post

Pretty self explanatory. This might be a lot more playable if the lower electronic stuff was dropped and the right hand consisted of the other elements instead.
Anyway, here it is:

PC / SUPERHOT---The Most Creative FPS Ever
May 16, 2014, 08:09:56 PM
So I found out about this game from a friend. It's simple and throws you right into the action with one catch: time only moves when you do. So you can stop, see bullets, and move out of the way. It sounds simple, but the presentation is incredible. The team behind this created a tech demo last year and just started a kickstarter. They raised nearly 150% of their goal in 2 days. You can play the original game here (unity player required) and view the kickstarter here. Give it a try. It's awesome.

And here's a screenshot:

Help! / Finale price
May 08, 2014, 03:35:17 PM
First, I'm not sure this qualifies as site help, but I coudn't find any better place to put it.

So, my neighbor has finale 2011 (bought for student price) and offered to sell it to me at $150. I assume this is a good deal, but it can't use the files I've been working on in 2012 notepad. I also found finale 2014 here for $247.90, student/education price. I assume you need to prove some way that you need it for school. Being homeschooled, would my mom be able to require it for school and have that count? Or would it just be better for me to get songwriter for $50?

Help! / PDF creator
May 02, 2014, 10:25:04 AM
I need some way to make PDFs of my music. I downloaded PDFcreator at mariolegofan's recommendation, but I keep getting blank pages from it, despite the test page working. Does anyone have any alternatives or solutions?

Note: these songs have alternate names

The links don't seem to be working, I'll fix them when I get back home.  Thanks, yugi!

Help! / 2nd endings/adding measures
April 08, 2014, 05:33:17 PM
I have only fnale notepad 2012, but I am wondering, while it is VERY limited, is it possible to have a different first and second ending in a piece: e.g. plays a transition before the repeat and the second time goes on to the rest of the song?

EDIT: OK, if figured out how to copy a working ending from another song, but I can't figure out how to add measures in the middle of the song. Anyone know how?

Help! / beginner program help
April 07, 2014, 06:55:14 PM
Ok, new to the arranging business, but I would like to get started. I downloaded finale 2012 notepad, but it is incredibly unintuitive. I also have guitartux, which is a better program and can create guitar tabs from a MIDI file, along with many more editing options. However, it does not have the option for a keyboard input for the notes. Any other programs to suggest? Is transcribe! and good for an assistance program? It can be easily set to play only a portion of a piece and can suggest notes. Obviously, since I am new at this, I'm not going to go out and buy Finale 2014 or whatever, but might do the trial just because. So, any suggestions? I have a few pieces "figured out" but haven't taken the time to write them down. I am very intrested in any sort of keyboard interface possible.
