Nintendo / Re: Mario Kart Wii or Okami?

Despite getting generally lower reviews?
Whatever. Having played neither, I won't offer a real opinion.

Yeah...it's been pretty disappointing of late. I resubscribed anyway, and I find it useful now and then.

So you can fall off if you try real hard. For me it was just an annoyingly long, psychedelic, headache-inducing boredom-fest.

Wow...really cuttin' it close. I love winning races like that...but it is invariably the worst way to lose.

Is Japan actually closer to Europe than the United States? I don't think that's the excuse.
But don't sweat it, zahndy. If they release a few Wii demos it might become valuable, but as it is...

The DD Rainbow Road was lots of fun once you'd mastered it...the 64 version, far too easy (could you fall off that thing at all?). I haven't gotten my hands on MK Wii yet, but I hope Rainbow Road is a challenge without crossing into the stupid-hard region.

Quote from: PianoMan on May 24, 2008, 03:03:26 PMThey both still do the same thing as Ness's always has done: absorb energy-based attacks' damage and use it to heal themselves.
Lucas' doesn't...it doesn't even knock damage down that much from what I've seen.
#23
Absorbing as in reversing. Ness recovered 24% from Samus' charge shot in Melee. Lucas' doesn't even block all the damage.
Does Ness' PSI Magnet still absorb damage or just reduce it?
#24
Hey now, Lucas can handle himself.
....actually that's a lie. I used to hate him but got used to him. He's really pretty powerful, his smashes do take a while to launch though.
And his absorber should ABSORB damage instead of just reducing it. Ness's was uber-useful in Melee.
#25
Yeah, but think about poor DeDeDe and Ganondorf. Nobody loves them.
#26
No kidding. His double up-kick was awesome. And...everything else was too.
Now he's too gorramn slow to be worth anything.

Because it's gotten a major overhaul, perhaps. I hear it's VERY good.

It's platform/adventure. It's about 3 hours long. They're already working on a sequel.
Looks like fun, maybe I should try it out.

Quote from: Silence of Darkness on May 12, 2008, 07:40:38 AMActually, he's a little weaker and his up-smash has only one hit (Link's has three). But that's not enough to make up for the huge difference in speed, not to mention Toon Link actually being able to recover.

Also, his sword is shorter...
Yes, but not as much as people think. They're both the Master Sword after all, Link's being appropriately proportioned and Toon Link's being totally huge for him.
