Ah right, whoops. Guess that just shows I haven't started it yet...

Have a formatted sheet.

This is what I love so much about the HeartGold/SoulSilver soundtrack - a job well done of preserving the old melodies while changing it up to feel fresh. The GS version is in 4/4 and the HGSS version is in 6/8! I make no guarantees, but I'll give this a try! (Seeing as old Cherrygrove was one of my first sheets...)

Haha yeah... well... I've played it on and off for a week or two and I don't think it sounds as good as this yet lol xD

Beautiful sheet. I always shied away from this track thinking it was too complicated for solo piano but you're showing me it can be done! I'm totally gonna learn this...

- I think it'd look better if "Hirokazu" was moved to the second line of the composer info.
- 20: I'd shift the RH eighth note on beat 2 over a little to the right as well.
- 30: Move eighth rest in LH back onto staff?
- 32: I feel like the second two LH notes would be more naturally played by the RH. You're free to disagree.
- 52: Flip the middle tie. I'd also suggest flipping the bottom tie on the last note in 21.
- Overall you've done a great job at balancing and interweaving the bass and piano voices to create a texture that sounds full even though a lot is omitted. However, I think a couple of sections could use a little more bass, particularly measure 41 (where melody can be played with the RH on beat 1-2) and maybe a couple other places, but I wouldn't push it too hard as the sheet is already quite difficult lol.
- Sometimes it's a bit difficult to tell where exactly the melody is (ex. measure 47), but I don't think that can be helped with a sheet with such wacky parts all over the place like this. I'd much rather have clarity of execution, so that's good. Though one part I don't particularly like is where the bass obscures the melody in 22.
- Perhaps pedal usage from the section starting at measure 17 (maybe others too) would be nice. At least that's how I've been doing it while trying it out.

Probably will have more feedback after I spend some more time testing it out.

Formatting, formatting, formatting again. Nothing of yours will get on site if your .mus files aren't up to standard. We're around willing to help but not if you don't care enough to check your submissions for feedback. Aside from that, there are some issues with the arrangement itself, most notably note beaming/rhythm grouping. If you don't know what I'm referring to, just ask.

Otherwise I'll just delete this. And your other submission too.

Back from my unannounced 3-4 day hiatus. Oops.

Quote from: TheZeldaPianist275 on July 02, 2016, 11:51:12 AMEveryone, TZP's dropping back in indefinitely.  It's been a few years, but I've enjoyed watching from the shadows.  The new submission process looks 87 times better than the old one.

Nice to be back.
Hi!... I'm probably a new face around here.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm sorry I haven't had time to fix it as per your suggestions... but I will!

Even though I've been arranging lately, I haven't posted anything because I'm trying to get all my files re-organized and stuff like that. If you want links to some stuff I've been doing, just ask; else I'll be back with (hopefully) a new OP in (hopefully) a week or so.
