Hm actually I would say it is necessary because it's the "in-game piano rendition" of the opening theme according to the description. (See Super Mario 64: Piranha Plant's Lullaby on site.)

As for the above question I personally prefer the separate layers, but I can't say for certain what you should do here since I haven't had time to comb through the track yet.

Besides fixing the rhythm groupings in 33 and similar measures, watch your rest placement. They're awkwardly misplaced in 25, 28, and other places.

But very nice work, you two! Keep it up! (Man, this song is great.)

Your link has been broken for quite a while now... :P

Oh dear, that Melee project from before my time never did get finished and as a result most of the ones on site are still quite... awful... Personally I don't think there's enough to work with.

Quote from: JDMEK5 on April 13, 2016, 01:11:41 PMHonestly I think all the best nominees are already on the OP.
Same. If no objections I'll start the new poll in a day or two!

it's okay just last year I realized that Viridian Forest and Rocket Hideout have the same melody and I've probably had Pokémon Red for about that long too

Quote from: Dude on April 13, 2016, 09:13:37 AMStill kinda curious as a 'friend' of mine has a problem with this.

Well not really a problem but just wants to know.
I'm not in charge of that. If they have a problem, they can ask Deku.

Happy belated anniversary, NSM!

As of April 11, 2016, NinSheetMusic is now twelve years old! I would like to thank everyone at NSM, not as a staff member, but as a regular user, for keeping the magic of video game sheet music alive for so long despite many bumps in the road, and for providing a wonderful community of fellow gamers, musicians, and otherwise cool people to connect with. If you haven't joined us on the forums yet, drop by and say hi!

Also, The Deku Trombonist has updated our staff page to not only reflect the status of our current staff, but also display a list of our retired staff members. It's important to remember everyone who helped us become the thriving sheet factory community we are today!

I agree. I've added it to the list, but if we end up choosing it, there's a lot of sheet re-working to be done...

I should continue those replacements I started....

Quote from: Bloop on April 12, 2016, 12:03:31 PMI notated it this way because I like to make clear that there are different voices in this song, instead of just a cluster of notes. I do admit that it went a little overboard, though, which resulted in the sheet being a bit less clear. Fixed that
Haha I'm sorry if that sounded like a mandate. It was meant to imply "you should review this and see what's best!"
