My other submission (Shin Onigashima - Title BGM), that I sent in at the same time as this, was accepted a while ago, but this one still hasn't. How long does this usually take? If there's an issue with the score still, let me know.

Good idea, Tobbeh99. Just added a link for the Shin Onigashima files in the list above, and I'll be doing the same for Murasame Castle soon.
EDIT: Added link for Murasame Castle dropbox.

Under the "NSM Panel", I have two submissions from Shin Onigashima in (the max at one time, as I understand).  One was accepted last week, the other hasn't been, but hopefully should be soon since I recently made the updates requested by the mods.

My question is mainly about the timeframe: how long does the submission/acceptance process usually take, and when will I be able to submit more sheets?

Sorry if these questions are redundant, I'm new to the forums and still figuring things out. I appreciate the help!

Cheers! WandringMinstrel here. Here are the arrangement projects that I am working on or have finished. I like arranging 8-bit soundtracks (NES, Famicom, Game Boy), so that's going to be most of what you see here. I'll include links to the files I've finished.

Number of arrangements completed: 72
Number of arrangements on site: 35

[NES] - Famicom Detective Club Part II: The Girl Who Stands Behind

[NES] - Joy Mech Fight

As with "Title BGM", I edited it to be in line with the standard format. Let me know if it's all good.

113
Updated everything with the proper format and added articulations. Also some general cleanup, like splitting the lower two voices for clarity.

If it all looks good, let me know!

114
By the way, this is what I used as a reference for my transcriptions. By far the highest audio quality soundtrack for this game I could find.

Off-Topic / Re: The Introduction Thread
« on: September 04, 2015, 01:01:04 PM »
Hello! A Wand'ring Minstrel, I, though the internet usually just calls me Wander. I am a pianist, composer, and director out of Kalamazoo. I'm a recent alum of WMU with my degree in Composition, and I now do most of my work in theatre.

I've been following NinSheetMusic for some time now, and just decided to start contributing. I recently got in the habit of transcribing old soundtracks, and figured it was just a step away from arranging them. I have a soft spot for old and obscure titles, especially Japanese Famicom games. The first game I've been working on is Shin Onigashima, and I'm looking to do games like Famicom Detective Club and Joy Mech Fight in the near future.

I'm also involved with the Smash community as a writer for ChallengerApproaching, a blog on tumblr. We're also on twitch and YouTube! I'm looking to incorporate music into my work there as well, such as remixing game music.

I've been playing games for as long as I can remember, and been a Nintendo fan from the NES to the Wii U. I'm especially fond of The Legend of Zelda, Smash, and platformers.

Good to finally start contributing, and making some piano music!

Hi! Thanks for responding. I'm still figuring out these forums, so I didn't even find the formatting guide at first.
I also found a few different sources about the names and titles, but nothing that seemed official (like an OST) I just went with what seemed best. I can continue looking around. As for the game title, I kept the original Japanese title since A. it was never released outside of Japan and B. references to it in other games generally still use the title "Shin Onigashima" (like references in Smash, for example). I went back and forth on the Famicom Fairytales part of the title, but decided it would be excessive and unnecessary. If you feel it's important, that's fine.

I recently finished transcribing and arranging the full soundtrack, with a focus on making it idiomatic for the piano. Not easy, since the Famicom Disc System allows for more audio tracks than the FC/NES, so there's a lot more counterpoint than your usual 8-bit game. Might not be noticeable in these arrangements, but later on you may notice that there are a few changes when compared to the original. I suppose that's normal. As for articulation markings, I can go through and add more, no worries.

Looking at your edit, I don't necessarily agree with all of the changes made, but when I go through again I can make that discretion.

As for new arrangers, is there a section in the forum where I can introduce myself? Like I said, I'm still figuring this format out.
