Off-Topic / Youtube just got HACKED!!!!
May 28, 2008, 03:45:32 PM
I was watching a video of a guy playing Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2, and when I tried to search for the ever-so-classic "Bugs Bunny" version. It said something like -
         Internal Error 500.
A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with the problem. (Then it had a link to click to send some sort of report, which I DID NOT click.) and then it said "Be sure to include the following in the error report." and then it just had a boatload of random numbers and letters. (Like a frreakin' page full of 'em!) This happens no matter what page you try to go to. (Even the home page.)

Supposedly this has happened before, and it's some goofball who works for google.

Not everybody who prefers "One Winged Angel" is an FF7 fanboy! I've never actually played the game. (I do have the Advent Children movie on DVD though.) I just happen to like the song. It's note structure is very creative and well thought out. The disonance mixed with the agreeing harmony are very interesting. Add to it the mysterious, forboding Latin lyrics, as well as the middle theme that is more of a light pleasant theme, and you have a very unique Bad-Guy theme song!

Ganon's Tower from OOT is fun to play on the piano though.

Do ALL THREE MOVEMENTS :P
Oh man! I love that one! One of my favorite Beethoven Sonatas.
Anyways. Pretty much anything by Franz Liszt is going to be insane! The JS Bach Prelude and Fuges are nice. Ummm....Chopin's Nocturnes are very pretty.
OOH! Final Fantasy IX Piano Collections - Vamo 'alla Flamenco! (I'm learning that one)

Music / Re: Gerudo Valley - Guitar (Critique needed)
April 28, 2008, 07:33:42 AM
I knew six note chords aren't impossible. That's why I put them in. If you take a look, it's really just some full strum chords. (D major V chord to name one) The main section's weren't a little bit hard to notate, because quat. triplets were too fast and full quat. were too slow. dotted eights were as close as I could get.

Piano Arrangements / Re: Limbo's Arrangements
April 27, 2008, 06:07:57 PM
It's a pretty good start, especially if you're doing it by ear. A little advice. If you're having trouble filling in sections from a full score on piano, never underestimate the basic chords, inversions, and arpeggios! I use them all the time.

BTW. The main theme was written by Nobuo Uematsu...one of the reasons why it is so good!!!

Music / Gerudo Valley - Guitar (Critique needed)
April 27, 2008, 06:03:04 PM
I arranged the Gerudo Valley theme for Solo Guitar and Guitar Duet. I need some critique. I play guitar a little, but not well enough to play these. I just used my small amount of knowledge about the guitar to write them. I'd really like someone who plays guitar really well to tell if I need to change anything. The ending is a little weird I know.
