Should the title of this game start with "The"? If so, I'll edit it, you don't need to create a new entry
Oh shoot, you’re absolutely right. My bad!

The title seems like a mouthful on this one, but it's from the 2020 vinyl re-issue of the OST (according to VGMDB) so I think it's the most official English title.

AI: The Somnium Files - Awakening Interval
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

I played this game over the summer and really liked it, and this track stuck out to me in particular. A neat detail I noticed about this game's soundtrack is that most of the tracks that aren't named after story chapters or Somnium puzzles have a two-word title starting with the letters A and I, which ties back into the game's title as well as some of its themes. I took some arranging liberties with regards to octaves in this one, taking almost the entire right hand up an octave to distinguish it more from the left hand.

OMG THATS BEAUTIFUL! Thank you very much, im not an advanced piano player but ill practice this song a lot until i can play it! Thank You! Im glad i introduced you to this amazing soundtrack!
No problem! If you wanted to simplify it a little for yourself, you could play the first note of the 16th note triplets in the right hand as an 8th note instead (and leave out the second two notes). Those are just embellishments so it'll sound good without them too! And you can always add them back in once you're ready for them. :D

Here's an example of how that would look for measures 5-8:

Hope that helps! Good luck with the practicing!

Oh shoot, I did mean to include that E. Thanks for double-checking, should be fixed now!

I may have worded that first point a little confusingly, here's what I meant:

Ohhh, gotcha. That's fine with me too, fixed!

Legend of the Mystical Ninja - Rendevous With That Girl
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

Another from Legend of the Mystical Ninja! This one stuck out to me while going through the soundtrack in order to find the title of my previous arrangement. The intro sounds heavily salsa-inspired, and the bassline in the B section is also very typical of that style of music. The B section melody, however, keeps the pentatonic sound and harmony that seems to be prevalent in the rest of the game's soundtrack. Very neat fusion of styles here!

  • m8-9: The weird pitch slidy thing plays an E below the A, which I think you could include, perhaps at the expense of the F grace note
  • m17: You can hide the half rest in the RH, and perhaps widen the distance between the staves here
-Makes sense to me, done
-Also done.

Thanks for taking a look!

Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special - Opening
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

This is an extremely cool song from an extremely obscure game. The Last Bible series is one of the many spin-offs of the larger Megami Tensei series, but other than the first game (localized as Revelations: The Demon Slayer) they haven't been released outside of Japan. I don't know much about this particular game myself, but apparently it's set during biblical times which isn't something you see often. The soundtrack is quite unique and this song in particular gets a lot out of the Game Gear's three channels, so it's taken some editing to get anything remotely playable on piano (no thanks to the blistering tempo). There are two possible composers for this OST, with one credited for "Theme Music" and one for "Sound" - I'm not sure who did what or if they worked together so I've put them both. There is also a really cool intro video (warning for a lot of flashing lights and colours) that goes along with the track.

I arranged the second one for you! I liked this track a lot and I want to check out more of the OST now so thanks for introducing it to me. Files can be found below for now, and keep an eye out for them on the main site in the future. :)

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja -Sentiment of Travelers in Hagure Town
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

I've never played this game, but someone requested this track and I liked it a lot so I went ahead and arranged it. Having heard a bit of the rest of the OST there's a chance I may arrange more from this game in the future. I'm not too sure about the title on this one - most English uploads seem to call it "Goemon's Home" or similar but the VGMDB tracklist has "Lost Town Travelling" (or "Hagure Town Travelling" depending on how it's translated) as the official title. (Edit: It appears the track did get an official English name on a vinyl rerelease of the soundtrack in 2020, "Sentiment of Travelers in Hagure Town".)

Just adding the arrangements I did for the Too Hot To Handle project, but I'd also like to say that this marks 50 arrangements that I've posted here! Can't wait for the next 50. :)

Final Fantasy VII - Costa del Sol
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

This is a beautiful bossa nova–inspired piece from Final Fantasy VII that I was surprised to see wasn't on the site yet. In-game, it's the theme for the sunny resort town of Costa del Sol. I'm really happy with how this arrangement turned out and I can't wait to play it myself!

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak - Sandy Bay
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

Here's a fun little surf-y piece from one of the Hamtaro GBA games! I never got far in this game as a kid but I finally played it to completion it last year and enjoyed it a lot. This track plays in the beach area.

Sorry for the delay on this!

  • m8 beat 3.5 LH: I hear an extra D here
  • m13 beat 4.5 and all similar occurences: The Bb-C-E chord sounds to me like a Bb-D-E chord
  • m29 & 31 beat 4.5 RH: I hear the guitar play C#-E-G here, but no A. Could you incorporate that somehow?
  • System spacing: Maybe 4 per page would be better than 5 and 3?
-Yeah you're right about that, fixed.
-That makes sense since it would match what's happening in the previous section, also fixed.
-Incorporated the E-G, but left out the C# since it comes in in the next beat anyways.
-That looks more balanced, so fine with me.

That's all though, nice arrangement!
Thank you, and thanks for taking a look! I'm quite happy with the way this one turned out.

Final Fantasy VII - Costa del Sol

• in the RH lower layer, there's a few places like m8 that the new F# accidental is inside the notehead of the E. You could move the # symbol a little to the left like this, applies for m9,10,12,17,18,20 as well (image is fixed m8)
Aw shoot, I had noticed those before and meant to fix before submitting but it must have slipped my mind. Should be fixed now.

• I'm a little torn on this, but 25-28 the string part that's the RH lower layer is technically playing A-C-E on each beat to fill out the F that the bass plays. You could have En under the current An as opposed to Fn except for beat 4.5 (the strings lead into next chord, where they play A-D-F technically), but I'll leave it up to you since it is just replacing one octaved note (F) for another (E) between the hands. This feedback has similar recommendation to one I left about middle layers for m29-32, essentially
I like the E because it matches what's going on in m29-32 with the F#, good idea!

Thanks again!
