Can you click in the text box for the title, then in the menu bar go to Text > Font... and post a screenshot of the dialog window that appears? I think that may be where the issue is but I'd like to see what it looks like on your end first.

Mine’s coming up too. Deku, things were really different back then, weren’t they? Haha
They sure were! We had lots of fun and some spectacular arguments too but lots of memories anyway.

(Also I think your Fluffy Bluff Galaxy arrangement was one of the first arrangements I learned back then, Super Mario Galaxy 2 had just released when i joined)
Yeesh, that is going back a while. I was really taken by Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, I even transcribed the whole track as-is for orchestra. I'm glad you liked it anyway. Hopefully, all things going well, you should start seeing plenty more sheets from me in the not too distant future.

Is it really that important that the performer gets it right on the first read?
Yes.[/list]

I just realised that my 10 year NSM-anniversary came and went last year and I totally missed it. 10 years, they sure flew by.

Congrats Lat! You've come a long way in those 5 years. Keep it up!

attempt at coming up with a decent username

I have made a few edit replacements of other sheets in the past ... I always thought it was fine to do this just as any other kind of replacement.
Yeah I know how things are done around here, even though I don't agree with it. But having been an updater before, I know what it's like and what effect it can have, so I'm not blaming you personally. Just remember that everyone is different and has different wishes, so it's always a good idea to check, even if it's just a courtesy because you're pretty sure what the answer is going to be.

including another by you
Oh? I didn't know about this.

But, your original arrangement doesn't really have any issues (in terms of notes, etc.) and mine is just re-arranging it for the most part.
I wasn't suggesting that mine was perfect or anything like that (if there even can be a perfect arrangement). I just don't want my name on something that wasn't my work, or to have things changed without my knowledge.

I don't think it's as worthwhile an edit as I originally thought now that I'm looking at the sheet again. I'm just going to remove it from this update.
Why call it an edit? It's your arrangement so why not call it as such? Incidentally, I think this is one of those times where the one sheet policy doesn't do this place any favours.

I have to say I'm quite disappointed to see you submit an edit of one of my sheets without having made any attempt to get in contact with me. If someone has a problem with a sheet, the usual (and polite) thing to do would be to get in contact with the arranger and discuss it with them. Or if you want to do your own arrangement, then go ahead and do that.

Luma: As I said, use the one from the OP.

I'll look into the other two.

Something brand new! For some reason this track popped into my head a few weeks back and then it turned into this.

[Wii] Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Adventure Map - PDF | MP3

Yeah I have a folder full of stuff that I never posted. I'm slowly working my way through it to see what's worth posting and fixing up what isn't.

Anyway, here's the link. The layout still needs a little polishing but I won't really have time until the weekend.

There are probably dozens of ways that you can arrange the opening bar but I think the main things to bear in mind are making something that sounds good and isn't too ridiculous to play. Fancy flourishes can be a bit hard to execute for your average amateur pianist, so they're not always a good idea unless you're careful with how you distribute the notes between the hands. And transcribing exactly what's there won't always help you either. Try doing a rough transcription of the harmony and then messing around at the piano, you'd be amazed at what your fingers might come up with. And maybe consult some similar pieces and see what other composers have done? This track reminds me a little bit of Satie so he might be a good place to start.

The main focus of this submission will be figuring out the first measure...
I've got a version I did back in my last arranging spree in 2016 or so. I'll see if I can dig it up tonight or tomorrow and give you some food for thought.
