I've inserted repeats at the beginning and end of the song but they don't work. The song plays through and then ends, not repeating. How do I make these repeats work?

You can't make the repeats work if you use Finale Notepad. Have someone with a higher version of finale fix that for you.

Can I just download the newest version myself? I think I have the newest version anyway.

Notepad won't do it. You need something like songwriter or printmusic.

alright I'll just post it with the repeats in, even if they are not working. Even if the repeats don't play on notepad, they still show up, so people can understand that it should repeat.

If you really want them to work, just take a sheet with working repeats and then copy and paste the repeats into your sheet. Then you just change the notes inbetween.

What I'd do is go to the sticky topic at the top of all the topics in this section, then ask someone to make you a sheet with the specific repeats in different areas. Or, if you want, I could help you. PM me if that's the case.
