SlowPokemon

Yeah, easy to train...

But the problem is, as of Gen IV, Jynx learns zero Psychic-type moves. You need to either use a TM for a decent Psychic STAB move, or evolve Smoochum later than Lv30.

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

DrP

Good to know... but I has lots of TMs, so I is pretty good there!

Roz~

Jynx only needs Psychic anyway.

Thanks. For a moment there I was worried, though. I almost needed to blow you.

DrP

But me thinks Jynx can learn shadow ball, too

SlowPokemon

Blah, that could be good as well... Psychic, Ice Beam, are good (only by TM can Jynx learn them, however). You could then fill the remaining spots with - (note I'm not using physical moves as Jynx's Sp. Atk is really good)

Attack moves:
Wring Out - learns naturally and can be a good move, to some extent
Shadow Ball - move against other Psychic-types
Energy Ball - strong special attack that offers some move type diversity
Focus Blast - same as Energy Ball, but low accuracy
Water Pulse - move for the Fire-types who will kill you
Dream Eater - an alternative for Psychic
Hyper Beam - strong special move, but with a catch

Or you could use some...
Status moves:
Calm Mind - good for Jynx, because most likely it will know only special moves.
Lovely Kiss - a sleeping move that only Jynx learns - 75% accuracy, can irritate opponents
Fake Tears - learns naturally, an alternative for Calm Mind
Toxic - good in a pinch
Hail - puts hurting on non-Ice-type opponents
Attract - not a horrible move, as Jynx is only female and most opponents gamewise are male
Captivate - not as good as Attract, but an alternative

There are also some options like

Combos:
Mean Look + Perish Song
Lovely Kiss + Wake-Up Slap
Lovely Kiss + Dream Eater

Now that we've covered a session on training Jynx, how much does Roz want to breed one? :D Or two? :D

No wai.
Jynx moveset : Psychic, Ice Beam, HP Fire, Nasty Plot. With that you've got a hell of a sweeper.
I'd love to breed a Jynx, however since it's only female, I need a father i.e Drowzee/Hypno with beastly IVs to begin with. I don't have one, and don't feel like breeding one. Guess I won't really have a choice though.

Also, anyone has a Squirtle they could give me? I can clone it and give it back too. Just need one for breeding, and since my friend's on vacations, I can't transfer 'mons from my plat to my HG game.

Oops, I didn't even look at its Egg moves.

And what does HP Fire mean? o_O

HP is Hidden Power. Power and type varies depending on the IVs spread. You probably knew that already, right? :P

Yeah, never seen it abbreviated - thought you meant hit points xD

This is the BEST hidden power calculator I could find. Try it out yourself.
http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/HiddenPower.aspx
70 Power is the highest it can be. It gives all the possible IV's for the hidden power, it's better than all the Hidden Power Calculators I could find.

Yep, Metalkid's IV calculator's awesome. Usually the one I use when I need to. There's also a link on psypokes that gives you the combinations of IVs needed to get the HP you need with base power of 70.

Yeah but Metalkid's is easier @w@

It's the easiest way to verify your HP type and base power imho.
They are two completely different things and both are awesome tools.

Arceus theme vs. Mysterious Broadcast (Unown)
Pretty similar, IMO.
Then there's this thread

EDIT:
Also, found some awesome Pokemon art.
I'll post some and give the link.
