First post on ninsheetmus ;D

I've noticed something about the sheets... they tend to have the same dynamics in both the main part and the accompaniment.
So i was searching around online and found a way to have different dynamics in different staves.
You go to the window menu, then Instrument list.
On each staff you want to have dynamics on, make a new instrument called "acoustic grand piano 2" or something by clicking on the dropdown.
When the menu comes up, choose a name and MAKE SURE that you set the MIDI channel to a different channel from the other staves.
Since they're on separate MIDI channels, they can have different dynamics.
Hope this helps improve some music  ;)

that's rarely needed in piano sheet music unless it's a duet. finale can assign different dynamics to different staves without having to change the midi channel.

It's not that common for both hands to really need a marked dynamic difference. Especially because it's implied that the melody will usually be brought more. Some arrangements on this site do use that technique though. You should be able to find them if you poke around a bit.

But anyway, welcome to the site!

Lol.. previously I've stayed mainly around the super mario section  :-\

I'm thinking of doing a lot of the NSMB music, and it tends to have a lot of separate parts. Comes in handy for me anyway :P

...it shouldnt matter how finale plays our sheets, they're ment primarily for visual purposes-to be played at a piano. this isnt "Ninmidimusic" ...

Lol, I like how it became signature-worthy.

Well, thanks? :P

I highly doubt quoting yourself in your own signature makes the quote 'worthy' of anything. ;)

Thanks for this, by the way. I'm glad people are beginning to use it. ;D
