So, for a while now I've been orchestrating music for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
All the songs in its entirety are going to be titled "The Third Generation"

I'm going to put below songs I've started on and how much progress I've had.
I'm indecisive on which songs to start after I've done one or need a break from a song, so I'll take some requests.

Sootopolis City? I think that'd be a perfect song for an orchestra! :)
You've chosen good songs too.

Umm... great initiative? Besides the fact that you're saying you will orchestrate this, we don't have very much to give feedback on...

Could you perhaps show us what you've got so far on one or two songs?

Yes, I'm still around from time to time. For quicker response, you can reach me by PM, or drop by Smogon to say hi. I go by "Codraroll" there, because of a bet.

Maybe you could help me a bit.

At about :12 should I make that instrument an Oboe or perhaps a Soprano Sax?
It's a bit hard to decide.
I feel a Mute Trumpet wouldn't do it justice.
What do you think?

I suggest Oboe. That part sound more like an Oboe than a Soprano Sax.
I'm interested to hear Sootopolis City arranged for an orchestra. :)

Yeah, probably an oboe... hmm if you arrange Sootopolis for concert/symphonic band, will you send it to me?

I think the piano part right after it is best xD

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

Mmella

I may put it as Cor Anglais (English Horn) / Oboe for variety.

I may not start Sootopolis for a while, I just asked for future reference.
I'm making good progress on the Ending Theme, and boy, it's horrifyingly fast even though it's only on 90 beats per minute.

I'll keep in mind whatever songs you'd like me to do.
I'm thinking about starting the Legendary Battle when I've made more progress on the End Theme.

Orchestra arrangements of all these songs sounds really great! It'll be cool to hear all the parts instead of just those that will fit in a piano arrangement. Thans for putting the effort into this, especially for what I think is the most underrated Pokemon game.

If you're looking for song ideas I suggest that you put a Route theme or two in there since you don't have any currently. Route themes are always my favorite songs from Pokemon games so I would appreciate one or two being totally arranged. Route 113 or Route 120 are probably the ones I'd most like to hear, but any Route theme would be fine.

I was actually listening to the Route themes earlier, and I would love to do a route theme
113 has a very unique sound and would be fun to arrange.
I was also looking at 104 because the game had very minimal marches and it doesn't seem too complicated unlike most of the songs I've taken up. Thanks for the suggestion

I've posted my current progress on the Ending theme.
The Midi's not very accurate, but it gives something to hear.
Scratch that, the Midi's horrible.

It's very messy and out of order, but tell me what you think.

Nice! I'm looking forward to downloading the MID on the weekend. :)
Is there any way to play the sheet music you've uploaded?
