Kudos Nebbles! I always fantasized of something like this - an essay on the moral & philosophical implications of PMD.
Personally, this is a subject that fascinates me. My religious upbringing always had me wondering "who was I before I was born"? (cf. Mormon doctrine of pre-existence).

Again, I must applaud your boldness in using PMD as the topic of your essay. Perhaps, if you ever think of re-writing this essay (not that it isn't already an A+ in my mind), you could also reference the novella Die Verwandlung by Franz Kafka. It's about a traveling salesman named Gregor Samsa who wakes up one morning, and finds out he has metamorphosed into a monstrous insect-like creature. It's actually a fairly well-respected novel in academia. It might make the premise of your essay more palatable to those who would be skeptical of anything dealing with video games.
(The show Arthur makes a parody of this in Season 8, Episode 3B, actually :P)

Nebbles

...oh, yeah. I think my professor gave me a C. Guess he doesn't like Pokemon.

"It's a nice notion, but what does any of this have to do with Calculus?"

That's implying I'm smart enough for Calculus. Which I'm not.
