And why was Koizumi staring lovingly at that hairy mole on Kyon's neck at the end of Remote Island Syndrome Part II? Is that foreshadowing or am I missing some inside joke? It was kind of creepy XD

He wasn't staring longingly XD the camera just concentrated on it. It's a plot point in one of the later novels.

Novels, as in the books that the anime is based on in the first place. The anime covers the first three novels, the movie covers the fourth, and there are like ten or eleven currently released. And they are carbon copies of each other.
