Slurs and ties

Say I have a pair of alternate endings in a song, labeled "1." and "2.". And then later in the song, (irrelevant to the first pair) I have another pair. Do those become "3." and "4."? Or "1." and "2." again like before?

Um, one more question actually regarding slurs with ties:



Is that correct? Or should the slur (red) start on the last eighth note of the first measure?

The correct way is to always have it begin where the note begins, in this case the last eighth note of the first measure.
