The Deku Trombonist

You might be wondering what that new "NSM Panel" icon is doing in the menu bar. Well, it's our new nicely automated submission system! This guide will explain all about how to submit and edit your sheets.

Part 1 - Submitting a New Sheet
Part 2 - Submitting a Replacement
Part 3 - Editing a Submission

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them here.

2022 addendum: Check out this how-to guide in video form by Kricketune54!

~Submitting a New Sheet~

The Submission Form

1. - Submission Type
Leave this as the default option "No"

2. - Series
Select the series your sheet belongs in.

3. - Game
The list of games is populated based on your selection of series. If you want to submit a sheet to a new game, just tick the box and fill in the info.

4. - Title
Just the song title. No need to add "(Duet)" or "(Two Pianos)" on the end, that gets added automatically depending on which instrumentation option you select.

5. - Instrumentation
Simply select the instrumentation of your arrangement from the drop down menu.

6. - Files
You need to upload a .mid file, a .mus file (no .musx at this stage, if you need one converted, PM me) and a .pdf file.

7. - Additional Options
Click the "+" icon to expand the additional options section. At the moment the only additional option is to add extra arrangers but more options may be added in the future.

To add an additional arranger, type their arranger name in the box to search and click their name in the drop down menu to add them.

~Submitting a Replacement~

The Submission Form morphs if you choose different options, just like Samus

1. - Replacement Type
To submit a replacement, select either of the two "yes" options from the menu.

The "Yes, but keep the original arranger listed" option is, like it says, for submitting a replacement whilst remaining attributed to the original arranger.

The "Yes, this is entirely re-arranged" option is for replacing a sheet with an entirely new one arranged entirely by yourself. Once accepted and uploaded, the on-site arranger info will be change to attribute the sheet to you.

2. - Select a Sheet to Replace
Type in the text box to search for a sheet to replace. Sheets are matched according to "[Game] - [Title]" (without the [] obviously) just like in the picture. Click on a sheet from the drop-down menu to select it.

3. - Files
As with a new sheet, you have to upload a .mid file, a .mus file (No .musx at this stage. If you need one converted, PM me) and a .pdf file.

~Editing a Submission~

You can click on the edit icon in your list of current submissions to edit a submission.

The form for editing a submission is essentially the same as the one for submitting, except you may edit the files as you wish. For example, if you're going back and forth with many revisions, you may wish to only update the .mus file for convenience.
