I'd love a new Metroid, but at this point, I'd actually like to see a Metroid II remake... it's a pretty underappreciated game in the series, and I think that if it was remade, it would be even better.

Pikmin 4 would be nice but unlikely and unnecessary. The series is fine as a trilogy at the moment imo.

What do you mean by Spiritual Successor?

That means they're going to make something in the spirit of the old games, without it being directly related (or even remotely associated at all, in this case) to the original work. So basically something with similar humor and feel, but not "a new Banjo game".

Spiritual successor pretty much means it'll have a feel of the original series/game itself, but the plot/story/world itself is totally different.
