In the anime, anyone who had their life energy completely drained by Yveltal would become petrified

 The spin-off games have taken inspiration from the anime on multiple occasions, so I'm thinking Yveltal is at least one of many culpable culprits.

Let's hope that this time Yveltal is more menacing and he doesn't simply turn someone to stone only to have them revived a minute later. I hated that about the Diancie movie the most, as he could have been a total threat in that movie.

In my opinion though I hope it's Hoopa Unbound, since that would make for an epic final boss fight.

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but the Pokémon USA official Facebook page confirms that there will be 20 potential Pokémon as starters. The only one I can see as definitely in is Pikachu, as the screenshot released alongside that statement basically confirms it.

from the trailer, I'm guessing they aren't going to have the quiz. All the available Pokemon were together in a sort of selection wheel. Sucks cuz I like the quiz, but I didn't like resetting over and over to get the Pokemon I wanted.
