I'd like to know if the text indicates the player is an amnesiac again, or keeps their memories like in Gates?

From my understanding and (limited) knowledge, the first picture translates to "Eh!? What's that!?" like it's an unknown reflection.

Translating the second one now, will edit when done

EDIT: Second one's very complicated for me due to the presence of Katakana which I don't know yet. Regardless I tried anyway and it seems to roughly translate to "Did I really become a Pokemon?" Not 100% sure but wouldn't surprise me considering the nature of the game

EDIT 2: Looked around the internet some more and PMD2 Nostalgia aside, a few people in comment sections claims that the other NPCs are talking about pokemon suddenly becoming petrified and turned to stone, which may be the story focus. Also Piplup apparently is upset because children can't join exploration teams? Seems a bit strange to me, but hopefully we'll have an english version soon so we can be 100% certain.

Just glancing at the video, it looks like the Belly stat has returned. Yay@
And this time around, there appear to be "investigation teams"  (which seem to be investigating that petrification thing which will probably give those statue fetish people more stuff to work with...
Lugia also mentions Legendary Pokémon going "here", which I guess is that cloud sky place thingy?

Mostly things we've already confirmed yesterday (thanks, translators!), but it's nice to have things translated.
- Pikachu staring into water has just been turned into a Pokémon. (Surprise!) The text "Have I become a Pokémon?!" kind of indicates they have some previous memory.
- Pokémon have been turning to stone.
- Piplup is sad because kids aren't allowed to join the "Expedition Society", whatever that may be.

They did seem to omit a lot of the legendary Pokémon's quotes, though.

Also I think the opening theme plays further in than yesterday! It's a little hard to hear when the guy's talking though and we still aren't shown the ending of it...
