A fanfic idea I have

This thread is basically me brain-dumping and seeing what people think of my ideas.

A Delayed Game Is Eventually Good is set in a world inhabited by the avatars of video games, who are constantly at war with eachother. Set in the equivalent of 2003, it follows the story of a PlayStation 2 game who is constantly made fun of by her peers for being unfinished, and so escapes to try to find her place. She ends up finding the Nintendo games, despite always being told they were her enemies, where The Wind Waker, realizing that she's not a spy, takes pity on her and disguises her as a GameCube game. Now the PS2 game must avoid being found out, or she'll become an enemy of both sides... but are there always two sides?
There'll also be a subplot about the fall of Sega's consoles, and the protagonists visit the abandoned Dreamcast base at one point.

(If you think you know what game the protagonist is, PM me. It's going to be a plot twist.)

Problems:
- I don't know many non-Nintendo-system games, especially from the 6th generation.
- The protagonist is a PS2 game that was later ported to the GameCube, but what about multi-platform games where every version was released on the same day? Or even cases like Twilight Princess?
- How will Microsoft factor into this?

You mean a thing that happened some time ago is older now and it's suddenly dawning on you that an equal amount of time has passed for you as well? How revolutionary.

A few comments:

1. This isn't really a "fanfic," per se; more like just "fiction."
2. This would probably be better in the storytelling board.

3. Google and Wikipedia can help you there.
4. Don't have any particular complaints about the premise; however, keep in mind that, unless the premise is absolutely terrible, the overall quality of the work comes from the author's writing skill (and ability to finish writing helps :P).
And the moral of the story: Quit while you're a head.

It's a fanfic because it involves pre-existing IPs...?

Didn't know about the storytelling board. Can mods move threads on the website?

I think that, generally, fanfiction is fan-made works set in a work of fiction made by someone else.

To be fair, there is a lack of activity in the storytelling board... I'm pretty sure the mods will be able to move this thread if necessary, though.

Braixen is a wonderful [insert gender] with beautiful [corresponding gender trait] and is just the darlingest at [stereotypical activity typically associated with said gender] you ever saw.

Well, developing a story is good and all, but advice to you if you actually do ever make a game, make sure the gameplay is as good as the story. I mean, you have a really good story going on, but try to get some gameplay ideas.
I had this one about a virus going through a computer and it's trying to be the strongest virus by taking out all the other ones to be the strongest. The game would be a platforming style game, inspired off of mega man, but the main mechanic is that the only way to get through the game is by using your abilities and discovering glitches in the game to proceed.

without even reading the OP I'd tell you it's a terrible idea but that's why you don't listen to terrible people like me

It's not an idea for a video game...
