My First Stay in the ER (Interesting Story)
« on: July 28, 2016, 02:37:56 AM »

So yeah I had to go to the ER, and now I just have to sit in this bed and look like I'm dying for two hours. It's so boring XD here's what happened...

So I had just biked back from a Cross Country practice where had just been running for an hour and I REALLY just wanted to get in my house and do nothing. However, the house was locked and no one was answering the phone, and I also really had to take a pee. So I did just that...

Right on a hornet nest ._.

Long story short, I was getting a rash and itches everywhere after a bazillion stings and my face started blowing up to somehow make me look even more cringe-worthy than I usually am :P I went to the urgent care room and got an Epipen shot for the first time, and then they wanted to take me in an ambulance to the ER just 3 minutes away. My parents had to sign a form that said I could die on the car ride to the ER if my throat closed up, but now I'm just sitting here, feeling fine, and eating cookies while wasting space for people who could be, ya know, actually dying. I have like the hospital gown and heart monitor and everything, and I have to stay like this for two hours (until 10:30 PM ugh) so I don't get inflamed again, but honestly I feel absolutely normal.

Oh well, at least the double chocolate chip cookies are good XD

How did the Epi feel? I have to carry one with me practically everywhere I go. Never had to use it, never wish to, but still, I hear it's awful.

My ER story happened when my mom asked to vacuum the house as usual, and the vacuum is kept inside of my moms office right beside the piano, and I reached down to move the steamer that was in front of the vacuum, and smacked my forehead just above my right eye on the piano. It was pretty painful, and my mom heard me, and came to see what was wrong. It would not stop bleeding so I went to the ER, (I was in such a hurry I didn't put my shoes on.) and the doctors stitched it up, and now I have a scar from it.
