Measure spacing in Finale
« on: March 19, 2017, 04:38:23 PM »

I just finished adding a few fixes to an arrangement, but for some reason the measures are too close together in Finale and I can't figure out how to fix it. Does anyone know how?

I don't think this is possible with notepad, but there are a few ways you can space out measures/systems with the full version.

Systems - Staff tool

Measures - Measure tool. You can also move measures up and down systems with the shortcut Ctrl. up/down, or lock a certain amount of measures in a system by highlighting the measures you want and pressing Ctrl. M. If you want the spaces to be even between measures, then just check change width in the measure attributes box

Miscellaneous - Resize the entire sheet with the resize tool in case it extends to another page by only a few measures or so. I think the minumum legal size is 85%. You can also change the margins with the page layout tool, but that isn't necessary
