Since we're on the subject of Melee, I just recently heard about Samus' extended grapple. I tried it and that junk is crazy. I'm gonna pull it out next time I have the chance to play with friends, as they don't know about it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, search "samus extended grapple" on YouTube.

Y, I know. However I don't know if exist in PAL. I don't think so. Y those kinds of funny tricks are always fun. As a Falcon main, I've watched some games of a Falcon player named Jeapie, one if not the best Falcon in Europe. He knows some tricks and is one heck of an entertainer, and it's fun to learn some.

I personally think the first part measure 1-20 is really good. But the second part measures 21-end could be a bit better. Try picking out the guitar in that part to fill in some of the gaps to say.

Did you know of this website?: http://www.audiostretch.com/audiostretchforflash/

You can use it to slow down your songs basically how much you want to! :)

"Stringed instruments can do a lot more with a melody than a piano can, I'm jealous XD"

So true! As a pianist I definitely agree with you.

The piano is great in many ways, one of my preference is that you can play so much different music on it. Melody+accompaniment, four voiced fugues etc. And as I arrange music I've noticed how much music you can arrange for the piano.

The only drawback that I could think of is it's mechanical nature. You can strike notes, and that's kind of it. Sure you can play legato, staccato, loud, soft and many other types of expressions, but in comparison to other instruments, other instruments can be expressed/articulated in a lot of ways the piano can't. By vibrato, slides , harmonics, bends etc.

I started as an (electric) guitarist, and I am very aware of this. However I learned piano later, it started only that I wanted it to help my guitar playing. But in the end I grew more comfortable with the piano. I especially like, first of, how easy it is to learn and see scales, chords, and how everything is easy locate on the piano; and secondly that you can play both chords and melody at the same time, which is difficult to do on guitar, and you're mostly not playing the guitar that way.

event 51: y, secret tip: use Puff and rest! The AI is stupid and don't punish plus it's super easy too hit Giga Bowser and even multiple characters with the rest. Only drawback is that Jigg's is light and dies easily.. and Ganon's pretty strong. This was my strategy of beating it, there might be other like Falcon with knee, tipper-Marth(tried it first but didn't work well so I switched to Puff).

Concerning melee: I've been stuck trying to collect the Crazy Hand trophy(beat all-star on hard or very hard without continues). I frustrating and ridiculously hard, have given up after many many tries. And why can't you use the c-stick!! Sakurai...

Finished Guitar Hero Smash Hits! (on expert)

Raining Blood: Oh, let's make the one of the hardest passages in guitar hero 3(and in guitar hero in general)  EVEN HARDER! Really fun... but with my sick skills and after some tries, I manage to beat it. Also funny ending with 5-chord with starpower?? Great that they put a starpower at the very last chord what are you going to use it for? Probably just to make it look cool lol.

Play with Me: overall, a really hard song. Can't remember how hard it was in 80's but I'm pretty sure that they increased the difficulty on this one enormously. Still not as hard as Raining Blood, but hard. Also fun with slide-notes which you can tap :).

Through the Fire and the Flames: Slide-notes in intro yay :). Makes it way easier but also way more fun. I always thought that the intro in GH3 was quite ridiculous in the sense that it was the hardest part of the song. Otherwise the song's a bit different, probably a bit easier overall, but still a really hard song.

Playing Guitar Hero Smash Hits. Just finished Free Bird on expert. That song is sooo looong! And the solo never ends lol. Kind of funny how, apart from the solo, the  entire song consists of slide notes.

Just a note: I don't recommend exporting pdf-files. I used to do it but I had some weird problem when using tuplets: that "3's" and "6's" would appear at the bottom of the pages.
So I strongly recommend printing+pdf-program for the pdf-files. But you can use export for mus and midi.

Quote from: FireArrow on July 14, 2015, 05:12:59 PMWas it a big melee tournament or a scrubby one (little to no advance techniques)? If the former, losing is good! Losing is the first step to winning. Get a good training buddy and go back for more

It was a quite big tournament, lot of the best players in Sweden came. But still my point was that I didn't expect all player should be super-good, it's just sick.
Here you can see some tournament matches, tournament was called "4-Stockedholm 3"

Y sure... but at the same time everyone else just keep getting better so the best I could get is even with the rest.. so it dosn't feel so encouraging.
I have practiced with other people like FAO, IC in top 10 in stockholm, and other guys in Stockholm melee-group. Still doesn't feel like I'm getting much better than if I practice tech-skills, combo-game alone with cpu etc.

Maybe should have a good secondary or switch main. Falcon is awesome, but I never win :(, thinking about Falco or Sheik, Auto-combos are auto hehe ;D.

JD in the OP you wrote "Jesse & James' Theme", however I think "Jesse & James Appears" is a better title to fit in with the rest of the "appears-themes". Unless you've found some official soundtrack where the title says so.

Also concerning names, should we really have "(yellow version)" on every yellow sheet. On the opening theme and the unused track it is necessary to specify that they are from yellow, but the rest I think it seems unnecessary.

About the series headings, which titles I think should have and not have one:

Should have one:
Kingdom Hearts
Phoenix Write(maybe)

Shouldn't have one:
Harvest Moon
Metal Gear
Dragon Quest(maybe)

Help! / Re: How do make a new poll??
July 14, 2015, 04:34:33 PM
I don't know if it's locked or not. But the thing is that I don't have as many options as I had before when I started a new poll. For example I can't specify how many votes the voters get, how many days the poll will run, allow users to change vote and finally, only show the results after the poll has expired.

Here it is:
Jigglypuff's Song

I put myself as arranger since I think my version is different enough from dahans.
#2189
NO, your song mlf is in 3/4 or 6/8.

The song in 4/4 is Magic Mole's song from Pokémon Crystal.
#2190
How 'bout I do those 5 measures? That's it, we just keep it simple and like the original is, not like dahans huge arrangement?
