I hate everything in Twilight Princess between the Goron Mines and the end of the Lakebed Temple. It's bad, frustrating, tedious, awful, boring game design and anyone else who claims they find it fun is probably a super fanboy. It was bad enough that I almost gave up on the game completely. I hope the next half of the game is actually fun.

A huge too-long Tears of Light section, gratuitous cutscene-ing, an escort mission, and the somewhat confusing Lakebed Temple itself? Yeah, I don't blame you.

Who doesn't want to fight a vagina with tentacles and teeth and a free-floating eyeball that later turns into a monstrous eel which still has a tentacle tooth vagina and also an eyeball embedded in its back

Seriously though I adore the more grotesque and bizarre aspects of Zelda designs (to use examples from this game, Ooccoo or Malo) so I was a big fan of the downright WTF enemies in the Lakebed Temple (I didn't even touch on the bizarre flab frog thing with the fish eggs that grow from its back -- but the way it forces you to look up for it á la Gohma from OOT really sells the horror of the situation).

I remember liking the later half of the game more than the intro + first three dungeons.

Same - I actually really adore TP, but I admit the intro and first three dungeons are a bit of a slog.

That's encouraging! I actually liked the first two dungeons, but everything else has been like shockingly bad (to me) considering how much everyone seems to love this game.

To me, when the game really picked up, oh MAN it got great. There's a lot of great things to look forward to.

twilight princess is in the bottom 5 of games but the city in the sky boss makes up for it sooo sooo much
also hyrule field will eventually be fun to explore

Skyward Sword is a very fun game. Twilight Princess is boring as hell.
