Welcome to NSM!

A couple of things about the formatting... check out this thread http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0 (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0)

Also, I recommend you rename the thread to something along the lines of "jetsfantasy's arrangements".

However, the arrangement is great! Hope you stay on!

Thank you for the link to the thread, that's very helpful. I've used NSM as a resource for around 5 years, so I figure I would do what I can to give back.

Wonderful arrangements thank you very much for them! Touhou 8 and 10 are my favourites! Now I get a chance to really listen to the music, if you're playing the game you don't really listen to it, these games are sooo hard, even on easy, but I'm getting better! ;)

Actually, I do play them, I've beaten 8 almost completely, just have a few Last word spells to beat, and I've beaten Mokou. As for 10, I'm currently doing the extra mode, Suwako, in my opinion, is more difficult than Mokou.
These games are my favorites, so I thought I would post sheets of ZUN's amazing music.

Wow. These are impressive arrangements considering the sheer speed of the Touhou music. I'm not really familiar with a lot of the songs and I've never played the series so I hope that I'll get to hear some great tunes through your arrangements!

Thanks for joining.

You're very welcome, I am glad you like them. I'm working on one of my personal favorites right now, and hope to have it up tonight. It's a very fun series, in my opinion, though I do know people who just enjoy it for the music. Either way, it's all good because on here, I'm about the music.

Quick note to everyone, I now supply MP3s of arrangements, so you can HEAR it as you learn it/how it should sound. I find this handy myself, especially if I don't have Finale with me at the time, on the go, etc.

Enjoy

"Kero 9 Destiny" sounds like it's missing some chords though.

Yay.

However, I don't think the mods will put Kero9D on the site cuz it's a remix, but yeah.

Thanks, I know what you mean, I'm still "learning" in a manner of speaking. Once I find and fix these, I'll update that file and the link to it.

True, I didn't think of that, either way it's all good. I wanted the sheets for myself originally, It's kinda close to Marasy's, if I do say so myself, and I've been playing his stuff for a little while, so I wanted this for my next song, which was a few months ago.

You know.... i could get a project going where we have a section for remixes.

@Jetsfantasy

Send the PDF, MUS, and MIDI in an email (winterkid09@gmail.com), and I'll store it. There's a chance that it could be put up someday. We already have virtuoso pieces, so why not remixes.

Nice arrangements!

Also your signature could be more linear if you put a space between the two images, instead of a return.

Thanks for the tip, the width on my beloved Flandré messes with the height in the other, but no matter, I'll worry about the sig some other time, I wanna get another arrangement up by tonight

Wonderful arrangement, thank you very much, but are these 32nds really playable? I don't know if you take request, but I'd like to see Voyage 1970 from Touhou 8, the last spell theme, it's wonderful but the spell card is so hard to dodge...^^

Yeah they are, but it requires a lot of practice, I play this one all the time, as it is one of my favorites, my brother, who is a guitarist, calls that part "bustin' out a solo". I'll look into doing Voyage 1970 and Eastern Youkai Beauty (See, I know Last words all too well) ;D

Ah yes, Rumia's theme, IN has a lot of good themes. Oh, fun fact btw, U.N. Owen is like my theme song, I play it all the time, and have multiple versions, if winterkid09's project works out, I'll post my version that I call, "Flandré's Lullaby"

After I finish Voyage 1970, ok? I did Cirno's Perfect Math Class for my Final in piano at college during the fall semester, so it'll be an easy one to do.
I was on fire this morning and did Bad Apple!!, Aparition Stalk the Night (Rumia's theme), and am finishing Voyage 1970.

Voyage 1970: Beginning of measure 2 is wrong (just listen to the track again, you'll catch it :P)
Also, the bassline should just be held chords rather than the repeating notes like you have.  You have to listen kinda close past the crazy drums to hear them :P
This deal with the bass might also apply to some others, I haven't checked.

Apparition: For one, the playback tempo should be 150, you set it to 300 for some reason.
I have no idea where all those notes come from in the first few measures.  You need to completely redo that part.  Also, for the held chords in the second part you need to use that thing where you go back and forth between notes, those two diagonal lines, I forget what it's called >.>
Also, the bass here is simply not at all correct.

And winter, I really hope you actually look over these properly.

@KefkaticFanatic In apparition, it was a stupid mistake I did to just hear one error at the end of it, I was lazy, so I'll have that updated in about 5 minutes, as for Voyage, I don't see anything, except I'm having problems with the tie for the left hand on measure 1-2. Other than that, I don't notice anything, the right hand is right, there is supposed to be a quarter rest from beat 2-3.
Oh and Apparition was arranged in Sparta, so that'll tell you why the tempo is what it is... sorry, had to do it XD

For the record, the EoSD soundtrack and Dolls in Pseudo Paradise CD are slightly off tune, so it's really hard to get an accurate arrangement from them.

If you want, I can try to fine tune them in audacity...

Dude, it doesn't matter how good you are, I do some of these just because I like listening to them. Plus, with enough practice, anyone can play these. I'll get started on it, I'm juggling around 3 different songs right now, just doing a little bit at a time. Necrofantasy, Border of Life (Saigyou Ayakashi) and one from TH 13. But, I'll start Alice in Wonderland. Those arrangements can be frustrating I know, I always am disappointed when he doesn't post sheets for it. I haven't gotten to hear this one too much, but this is a very, very soulful arrange.

What I meant is, in the second measure of 1970 you repeat the set of 4 notes twice, you should just have the first 4 and then play a G.  Like really, just listen to the original track >.>
Also, I still think the bass is just incorrect.  The entire bass is in chords, mostly sustained, sometimes repeating.  At least the instrument I'm hearing as the bass is doing that.

Thank you very much for Voage 1970, I can't hear anything wrong with it! ;) May I request the stage 3 boss theme from Touhou 10: Kappa - Candid Friend? It's such a cute and jolly theme and the boss herself is also very easy, except for the last card, it's pretty tough...

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind going through the submissions topic and putting a post at the end with the sheets that would be acceptable, that would save me a lot of time. I've already accepted a few though.

Quote from: KefkaticFanatic on May 29, 2011, 12:28:08 AMWhat I meant is, in the second measure of 1970 you repeat the set of 4 notes twice, you should just have the first 4 and then play a G.  Like really, just listen to the original track >.>
Also, I still think the bass is just incorrect.  The entire bass is in chords, mostly sustained, sometimes repeating.  At least the instrument I'm hearing as the bass is doing that.
Ah, I see what you mean, thanks for the clarification. I agree with you, and will work on the bass.
I appreciate those of you who take a look at it, it really helps to get another opinion.

Hey everyone, just thought I'd give everyone an update.
A friend of mine has lost his fight to cancer sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday morning... So I'm still in shock over that. I've been arranging music, mostly the requests and a couple of songs I personally wanted sheets for. I'll probably have something new this weekend...
Until then, I have things to plan and may learn a piece to perform for the service seeing as how he would tell me he'd like to hear me play.
Anyway, thanks for all the support with my music and I'll be back in a few days.

My condolences.  I would suggest however, that if truly does bother you to make sheet music while you're in this abject state, I recommend you take a break.  Though, if it brings you comfort, then I hope it makes life a bit more comfortable for you for the time being.

Ok, I'm back and I've added the Stage 3 theme for Imperishable Night: Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World

And a special, since I personally love this song and the world is seriously lacking in Blazblue arrangements and sheet music for them; Lust Sin [aka] Jin Kisaragi's Theme

Hm, your arrangement is lacking on variety (especially the left hand).
There should be an ending, too.

No there shouldn't.

I mean, in your arrangement. If you don't want to do it, then don't do it. It's just my opinion.

If the original song didn't have an ending, why would he make one? That is, unless he was making a remix.

^Because people who play the songs on site want to show or even perform it to/for others, and feel that ending the song in a lead-up to another loop doesn't sound too well. Many of those aren't skilled enough to improvise their own endings, so an "alternate ending" could be added after the "loop infinitely from here" end repeat.

Two words; Fade out.

If anything, that's what I'll go for.

To those of you who don't know much about the music of Touhou, ZUN's tracks ingame loop infinately so no matter how long the fight lasts, you get seamless music during a fight then, as Brassman said, it Fades Out.
I've been trying to keep the loop in mind, but personally I've made endings for some of these, due to performances and etc, so I'll start putting those in as an option at the very end of tracks.

It's good that most of the video game music pieces (songs ≠ pieces) don't have an ending (because of the loop. They sound better this way).
Besides, a remix is something different than an arrangement.

Quoteso an "alternate ending" could be added after the "loop infinitely from here" end repeat.

I agree.

QuoteTwo words; Fade out.

This is an option, too. Although I don't like it very much, but this is my opinion. I prefer an ending.

Then figure it out yourself.  That's what everyone else does.

Are you referring to me?
If yes, what should I figure out?

An ending.
