Puppet Ganon sounds really off. You need to fix that.  You also don't need the red notes.

Post by: NasiDe on April 22, 2008, 10:19:13 PM
I have just listened to it once more and, to my ear, it sounded fine. However, if this is backed and pressed on by more people, I will check on it at your request.

Post by: Gu4n on April 23, 2008, 12:01:11 AM
I'm sorry, but I've got to press it back too. There's too much dissonance on places where it shouldn't be, the red notes are indeed redundant at certain places but overall it looks pretty good. Your queue is also very impressive!

I'll be sure to begin editing. Thank you. Those took quite awhile, I have to say. ;D

Edited. The link has now been updated. ;)

These are awesome! The only thing I see to be wrong is that the symbol for GameCube is either "GC" or "GCN"
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements
Post by: NasiDe on April 24, 2008, 10:26:14 AM
Thank you, PianoMan!

GCN? Wouldn't that become Game Cube Nintendo? Hmm... If that's the official abbreviation for Game Cube and not NGC, then I'll change that.
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements
Post by: razer84 on April 24, 2008, 12:27:14 PM
Game Cube Nintendo sounds cooler anyway...

OT: great arrangements!

Good.  Much better.  The only thing now would be to flip the red 16th notes, but probably the staff might do that.

I really don't get it either. I've just only ever seen it as GCN or GC. This is the first time i've seen as NGC. (I think it might stand for GameCube Network)

Is the Molgera Battle Suppose to be just the Midi link? cause that's all i got when i downloaded it. But when i downloaded the Great Sea one i got the Finale Notepad thing.

Try a key signature of three sharps, and erase the second layer on the parts with two layers on the bass.
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements
Post by: NasiDe on April 26, 2008, 11:33:43 AM
Thanks for noticing that Palagerini! I'll fix that as ASAP.
I've edited the song but if I change the key signature the song sounds... Wrong.
Also, i fixed that Molgera link. It should work now.

For some odd reason the correct abbreviation for the Gamecube is GCN.  Otherwise, pretty schweet arrangements.

Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements (Last updated May seventh.)
Post by: NasiDe on May 09, 2008, 11:26:39 PM
Indeed, the Great Sea is already a song on NinSheet Music, however, I thought that something sounded wrong with it. However, that is not to say the arranger of the Great Sea presently on the site did not do well. I believe they did wonderfully in its arrangement.
Thank you DoKoCo,
Ganondorf

These are all from MIDI's. From VGmusic. What do you think I'm stupid???
Besides, you should have added stalgato's to the Forsaken Fortress even though it's not yours...

I'll planning to rearrange Great Sea, and it'll be the most kick-ass arrangement of it out there. But.. I'm too lazy to transcribe it. =p

Another queue update! More Wind Waker! More Twilight Princess!
I'm working on finishing the rest of the Wind Waker songs and is it taking a long time! But it's definately worth it!
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements (Last Updated May Fifteenth.)
Post by: PseudoMario16 on May 15, 2008, 07:02:33 AM
the puppet gannon sounds right, but i there is a wrong chord in measure 17, and in 36 and 37 and 42 the notes are pretty cramped together. also, i dont know if the grace notes are humanly possible.

despite this, i think the puppet gannon is a great arrangement
(plus, thats an impressive queue)
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements (Last Updated May Fifteenth.)
Post by: NasiDe on May 15, 2008, 10:20:14 AM
Thanks. It took a while to convince myself it was time to update that list. I don't think it's done yet still.  ;D
Puppet Ganon is inhumanly possible. Hmm... Well I printed out all Puppet Ganon songs I have arranged and was able to easily play them...
Now about those cords... I'll check the song as soon as possible and see what could possibly be wrong with them.
Also, which Puppet Ganon. (Puppet/Marionette Mode, Transformation, or Snake Mode?)

Just so you know, 'Gannon' is incorrect spelling. It's really Ganon.  ;)

the snake one

except for the chords 17, this was a really good arrangement. i might be wrong about the chords,
but it it just doesnt sound right to me

Sorry for not being on in awhile and not replying. I've been busy at the RPG and school. *Goes back to main page and points up. Then returns to replying.* I think that they're right... I listened to it and looked the sheets over and could find nil wrong with it. Sorry.
Anyways, I'll be doing a few more Wind Waker songs and putting them in queue. After that, I'll begin looking for another game to start working on sheet music for. *Looks at games on shelf. Mutters to self, 'Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess... Super Paper Mario... Not many of those... Maybe...' Continues looking along shelf, whispering to self.*
Heh-heh.  8) ;D I'm weird like that.
*Looks at uber giant organ from Ocarina of Time.*

I'm torn on whether to accept this or not...  It's a pretty good arrangement, but the grace notes don't seem to fit well and there are some parts that just sound kind of sour (Measure 17, as pointed out before).  I'd like to know some other people's opinions on whether this should be accepted or not.

@Ganondorf: Ever heard a thing called a key sig for your songs?

On some of these, PMS seems a little right, they do look a little like MIDI's.

Open the Molgera (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gamecube/Molgera1_with_a_dash_of_zelda_and_Oot.mid) one with Finale.
Or how about the Puppet Gannon Snake Mode (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gamecube/Puppet_Ganon3_V2_1.mid)?
Well, why not just go to VgMusic (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gamecube/index-classic.html) on this page, and compare his to these...

Make a note, Ganondorf, that VGMusic has it's music Copyrighted...Look at the bottom of the page...

Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements (Last Updated June Fifteenth.)
Post by: blah54 on August 12, 2008, 09:11:07 AM
wow... you have a ton of arrangements...

anyways i've looked at a few...

encounter with tetra just seems like a mess in my opinion, i couldn't really decipher it at all...

the battle (wind waker), is correct, but it just seems kind of bland and such... i know you've got the general melody of the song right, but it's just almost boring to listen to, and even more boring to play...

the puppet ganon snake mode, i can recognize the melody and harmony, they're correct... but it seems to lose it's "epicness" on piano... also, every time you use 32nd notes, just use grace notes instead, it's just confusing and impractical to see a quarter note with three dots...

as for your great sea arrangement, i like it a lot, i actually have sat down and learnt the whole thing, so on that one, good job...
Title: Re: Ganondorf's Arrangements (Last Updated June Fifteenth.)
Post by: NasiDe on August 12, 2008, 09:52:21 AM
Bleh, I'm thinking of removing Meeting with Tetra and perhaps redoing it. It wasn't done too well, admittedly.

As for grace notes, like accents, I don't know how to add them.  :-\ I should look stuff up I guess...

As for the Land Battle, do you have any suggestions that I could use to make it more exciting? ???

Maybe you didn't make this error in all of your sheets, but in "Great Sea" you forgot to note "Arr. by ________"

Amazing how many you did, btw. How long did it take you?

And I know that you might not have time to put very much attention into a specific song, but in "Great Sea," I think that a lot of the echo measures you included (where the melody line is repeated to measures in a row) should be played more quietly (the echoes parts themselves, that is). Also, it seems that you could make use of repeat barlines and so shorten the number of pages

Keep it up :)

I'm on it. Right now from what I can tell you cleaned up the puppet ganon one very nicely Gannondorf(aside from a  few minor formatting issues that I'll fix), it's accepted though. I'll make sure I check over your other songs as well.

Edit* Alright, I'll accept Puppet Ganon Spider mode, snake, transformation, marionette, Phantom Ganon, and Ending.

Whoa! :oThat was sudden. Don't I need to put the other songs in the submission area one at a time first though?

Actually, I'm going to hold off on the transformations, marrionette, and spider. I'll accept Snake, Phantom Ganon, and Ending.

   Keep working on them.

Okay...  ;D
Still, do they not need to be submitted one at a time?

Oh. Now I see...
Updated. New song in submission and it has not been accepted.

It sounds a little off at some parts. I would recommend listening to an mp3 of the song first before looking at it again. It might just be the tempo at some point, if I remember correctly though some of that song was faster.

I won't be active for awhile, being that I'll be evacuating from hurricane Ike. >_< I'll get back to work as soon as I can but I don't think that'll be for quite awhile.

I'm back from my hiatus. It was part of evil Hurricane Ike and my poor knowledge on what NinSheet Music's new address was. *Facepalm.* But I am back! I just need some requests or someone to tell me what I need to fix on my songs and I'll be back at work. I'm on my Christmas Break so I'll be able to work until my hands fall off! ;D

Edit
*Gasp.*
Oh nose! All my media fire files are broken! D: Sorry peoplez! I'll get them done when I can! Or feel like it for that matter. . .
O;
I guess, for the moment, the only ones that will be working are the ones I'll have in for submission. I'm really sorry guys! *Glares at Media Fire.*

Sorry to bump, necroposting, or whatever you call it on these forums, but I have seen a bit over your arrangement queue, and it looks impressive (too bad the links are broken *curses MediaFire*). I reall hope you can fix those, as I very much would like to sheets for some of the songs (Molgera Battle in particular. That's one of the best boss battle themes ever).

Sorry to clog up your topic with a noobish question, but the "queue"-section - what's that? I've that seen most arrangers here have one, with or without links. And as MediaFire have mercilessly deleted files here in the months the site has been down, I haven't had much of a possibility to check it. Is it:

a) The files you are currently working on, posting half-finished arrangements to get feedback and/or ideas before continuing?

b) Finished arrangements, ready for submission to the site, but not yet in the "submission" section, because there are other you want to submit first?

c) something else?

And if there is a thread for general questions, could someone please direct me to it? I figured out that the question was too small to deserve its own topic.

Back to your arrangements, I have also seen a few of them. Not tried playing them yet, as I am not skilled enough yet, but I hope to get to try a few of them as I am getting better. At least, they sound brilliant in Notepad, and my general experience is that it sounds even better live.

The answer to that is B. They're down there because only one song can be submitted at a time.

EDIT: I have updated my page. I have removed all songs in my queue but as time goes along, I will re-upload them and ateadily add them to my queue once more.

Thanks for starting the repairing process! MediaFire can be a pain sometimes, and it's irritating when you don't remember where you put all your files that were uploaded. Let's all hope that you can get through some sheets for the first update batch!

I saw that you reuploaded a Molgera song, and appreciate it much, but could you also reupload the song from the battle itself? That crazy flute tune that was also used in SSBB? It's one of my favourite video game songs ever, and I would very much like to hear what it sounds like on the piano.

Thanks in advance!

As for Melgera Geria, (the one used in Wind Waker (I'm not sure if the original is used in Brawl. I forget.)) I'm actually redoing that one currently.

UPDATE: I've uploaded the Mogera battle, Molgera Geria.

EDIT: Also, I've just checked and the Molgera Geria used in Brawl is the same one used in The Wind Waker so I also uploaded it for Brawl.

APRIL FIRST/ APRIL FOOL'S GANONDORF ARRANGEMENTS UPDATE!!!!
I've reuploaded many of my old Wind Waker songs and brought up new Wind Waker songs.

Please don't forget to critique the arrangements. Since I'm trying to contribute to NinSheet Music, I want them to be at the best quality I
can give.

Molgera Battle has many ties that aren't neccessary.
Two layers would work better there.
Sounds correct though, and I would know xD

I updated them and changed all the area where there were ties to a second layer.  Probably not every tie needed to be put onto a second layer...If you think so too, would you mind telling me which measures you think ought to be changed back to ties?

Okay, I updated the page, although it was admittedly a little hard since I had to do guess work since I couldn't see what I was doing. :-\

Anyways, I have the "Sheet Being Worked On" section up and Helmaroc King is under it, although without a link. Do you want me to upload it and include a link to the incomplete version?

*Le sigh.*
Okay. Apparently I'm unable to get Finale Notepad 2009 edition and by the time I do the 2010 edition will most likely already be released. My trial version is up so I can no longer use that, to my great dismay. The fact is, I cannot edcit any of my songs to add Nintendo's copyright stuff at the moment or add NinSheetMusic's website address...

If anyone has a suggestion as to what I may be able to do to remedy my unfortunate situation, I am open to suggestions. Otherwise, I will have to completely cease arranging. :-[

Well, you can either:

A) Download Finale NotePad 2009 now
B) Wait, then download NotePad 2010
C) Torrent Finale 2009 / 2010.  :P

Basically depends on your situation, and whether you want to be legal or not.  ;D

OR.  Download Notepad 2008 and re-transcribe things.  Then you can wait for Notepad 2010.
