I hate to start a topic like this when I'm sure there is already one! (that I can't find ><) Oh well, we'll merge them if need be.
Discuss new and upcoming games here!
I'll start: Possible Cave Story 2 (http://www.destructoid.com/cave-story-2-folder-spotted-on-nicalis-desktop-at-pax-south-286641.phtml)
I saw that a few days ago. Personally, I'd rather have a game in the style of Cave Story without having a direct sequel.
The new unnamed Mario Game Nintendo hinted at. But isn't coming out until at least 2016.
And of course Mario Maker.

Personally, yes, I would agree, but anything that Daisuke Amaya makes is fantastic so I'll take whatever he gives d:
I'd like a prequel to Cave Story. A sequel might not work, but I'd take it.
Either way if the game has any new entries in the series I think my head will explode.
*hopes it's free*

Zelda Wii U
Star Fox Wii U
Splatoon
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Probably the games at the top of my list right now.

What about majora's mask!? Also the Prime Trilogy coming to eShop (both not really new I guess, but still...). Hyped!

OHHH I'm also hyped for the new Fire Emblem!
Quote from: Nebbles on January 25, 2015, 06:15:56 PMOHHH I'm also hyped for the new Fire Emblem!
Can't belive I forgot that. Personally, I would have rather seen a HD one on the Wii U with a higher difficulty.
Have you seen the GameXplain analysis?
I saw some analysis, yeah. I think why the new FE is on the 3DS was due to how popular Awakening was and all that. So if this does well too, we'll probs get a Wii U one.
Higher difficulty I'd like though. I love Awakening, but it's very easy to bend the game to your will.
The one I'm looking forward to most is Zelda U.
Quote from: Nebbles on January 25, 2015, 06:27:00 PMHigher difficulty I'd like though. I love Awakening, but it's very easy to bend the game to your will.
This so much. All the higher difficulties in Awakening just come down to relying on Fredric until you can buy reeking boxes/access the xp grinding dlc
I kind of hate how Awakening was such a success. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. But now all new FE games will be more like it rather than previous games. I truly want a magic triangle and weapon weight back.
The magic triangle was great and I'd like back too. I'd like some easier senses of difficulty back, in terms of you REALLY need to be careful instead of skill grinding to be OP as fuck.
Yeah.... I need to play Thracia 776 to get a sense of what a difficult FE game is.
Mmmm the thing about Thracia 776 is that it's more of bullshit difficulty than like, an actual challenge that's fun. Have you played all over FE games? Fe7 has some hard chapters.
Not enough. I'm actually playing 7 right now. It''s not hard at all yet. Sacred Stones was easy because I really wanted overpowered units.
Well there's a few chapters that are pretty tiring, at least. Cog of Destiny, man.
Quote from: mariolegofan on January 25, 2015, 08:20:37 PMThe one I'm looking forward to most is Zelda U.

Awesome! Dont forget MK8 too :P
Biggest thing I'm looking forward to in that game is probably the open world. You can like go where ever you want and explore the heck out of it. I love that. Kinda like Minecraft (which I play all the time) and GTA 5 (which I totally hate.)
MLF hates an M-rated game?
I would never have guessed.
lol
It's not that I can't play it but that I dont want to.
It's a bad example of society and there is murdering, stealing, sexuality, and much more present in this game. This is all a very bad example of how life should be run.
Btw, I don't have a problem with (some) M-Rated Games. But if they encourage evil, I'm all against them.
Quote from: mariolegofan on January 27, 2015, 12:47:48 PM(...)there is (...) sexuality, and much more present in this game. This is all a very bad example of how life should be run.
I strongly disagree on that :D
Quote from: Xaoz on January 27, 2015, 12:52:18 PMI strongly disagree on that :D
I see watcha did there. ;)
Let me rephrase that.
This more of what I meant/tried to say:
GTA 5 makes fun of social media, videogame addiction, women, minorities, drug abuse, and promiscuity but it is never really clear whether the game has any goal in mind in doing so. Satire seeks to improve humanity by arousing our disapproval of an object or idea. GTA 5 just wants us laugh at how misguided its black characters are, how annoying its female characters are, and how many penis jokes "Trevor" can recite. It is also very racist and sexist.
GTA 5 has little room for women except to portray them as strippers, prostitutes, long-suffering wives, humorless girlfriends and goofy, new-age feminists which is
NOT funny.
O brother.....didnt mean to start a debate.....
There's little to debate since you shouldn't know what you're talking about to begin with, seeing as you haven't played the game.
Didn't say I haven't played the game. I said I don't want to.
I've played it at my friend's friend's house.
We're changing topics before this gets worse.
I cannot stop thinking about possible Cave Story 2 oh man
Quote from: Nebbles on January 27, 2015, 01:18:07 PMWe're changing topics before this gets worse.
No Worries, Nebs.
There won't be anymore flame wars involving me! :)
Just simply and mildly stating my opinion which no one has to agree with if they dont want to.
I get that you're trying to "be the better person" but there's a difference between "simple and mild" and passive-aggressive. Am I a GTA fan boy? Not by any stretch of the imagination. But I don't say games that I've never/barely played are bad based on what society says about them.
ANYWAY, I just looked up some info about No Man's Sky. It looks pretty cool, but it remains to be seen whether or not the developers can provide what they've promised. Hopefully that doesn't become a trend again this year.

imo, the devs are better than the game.
GTA is probably fine if you're looking for some mindless fun and a simulation of the world if you could do whatever you wanted and get away with it, but it doesn't have that special beauty that I look for in video games and it isn't for me.
Yeah, I don't think anyone plays GTA for the story, soundtrack, character design, or basically anything else valued in other games. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it though. It's all about target audiences and differences in preferences
The only selling point is that you can go anywhere and do anything. I don't understand how it constantly gets 10/10 reviews.

MLF, I'm going to ask this again, have you actually played the game?
Ouch, he's got you there. :P
I've never played GTA, but Saints Row is one of my favorites because it manages to be well written (in that it is quite humorous and can make fun of itself pretty well too), has a ton of variety, and has a lot of very entertaining and enjoyable gameplay. Sleeping Dogs is another crime open world game, but with a unique atmosphere and really well done story, along with a fun combat system and for the most part well done missions.
So I know nothing of what critics say about GTA story and whatever, but were it to be some afterthought then you have to realize it has the same base appeal as, say, Mario Galaxy, where it has enjoyable and well polished gameplay with enough variety to keep you interested, while the story is just some tacked-on thing meant to allow the game to begin and end somewhere :P
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy games with an engrossing story and/or lore, but I also can enjoy more than one type of thing ;)

I adore Kirby a lot, but the art style for the game is really, really amazing and I'm all for games with unique art, which is why I loved Epic Yarn so much.
I'm really excited for Splatoon lol.
Duuuuude Splatoon looks SO rad, I can't wait to get it.
Super hyped for Armikrog., whenever that decides to finally get released.
Oh, that new Kirby game, it's so cool! Really excited!
Another top-notch port from Monster Games.
:x I guess I forgot how bad Wii games looked. I guess it is impressive that they could manage to reduce it to a point where it looks alright on the 3DS while presumably still running well, but it's just a damn shame Nintendo keeps skimping on hardware.
The good news is, if you play it on a Wii U, it upscales the graphics somewhat, making it more bearable. But, yeah. That's one of the reasons I'm so excited for XCX. Finally in HD.
And, Monster Games was the same company that ported DKCR to the 3DS.
I'm just impressed that a game that massive can even exist on a handheld console, let alone look as decent as it does.

SCREAMING SO LOUD YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.
Big news for Fire Emblem IF: The Hoshido (Easier) has a map like Awakening, so it is possible to gain EXP outside of the main storyline
Nohr (Harder), however, has a direct progression, like in the rest of the series. It has been stated that it will make up for it by "A more intriguing campaign." (Or a campaign with more intrigue. I forget which.)
So, basically, they have two versions, not just for two different stories, but to cater to the long-time fans and those that started with Awakening.
Oh, now that's interesting! I'm still starting with Nohr, probs, since I want that extra challenge and all.
Me too, but I don't want Hoshido to be a pushover after that. :-/
But if Hoshido is super easy, after how EASY Awakening was, I want a damn challenge.
Awakening was decently easy on normal mode.
It was a pain on hard mode.
It was a nightmare on lunatic mode
Don't even get me started on lunatic +
I just want Nohr to have EXP as a limited resource for once to remove all the grindyness.
For me, it was a pain on hard mode... for the first half. Once I got the kids, the game became a joke. Limited EXP would be great though, bring back the arena!
the hype is real

Touhou 15 LOLK demo comes out may 10th
Hypeeeeeeee
Saw most of the "Nintendo Direct" for Xenoblade Chronicles, if you could even call it that. It was basicly a bad voiceover of the opening cutscene followed by 1 hour of gameplay footage from various parts from the treehouse. Not what I expected, but not terrible.
Some notes:
You can break monster body parts, like Monster Hunter. It increases the chance for certain drops.
Then mechs are not called dolls. As of now, they are called Skells for some bizarre reason.
Combat looks awesome.
If you need to slay a few of a certain kind of monster, or a specific one, it will have a mark floating above it.
Seems like you don't get mechs or the flight mechanism until quite after you progress quite a bit.
Plants have no collision detection.
They seemed very, very concerned about spoilers. Nearly every cutscene was skipped, not in the interest of time, but because they wanted to avoid any spoilers, despite still being entirely in Japanese.
Pretty much everything else was covered in the Japanese directs.
It's so insanely different from Xenoblade it's a bit... jarring. The bare bones stuff looks the same, and I'm still getting this game and all, but wow it looks different.
But DAMN the Nopon look so, so fuzzy. So fuzzy.
Would've been nice to get a release window considering the game comes out in Japan in less than a week.
I... don't know how I feel about this. So Fire Emblem:If, which was confirmed to have the two separate story lines, now is going to have those stories as separate games. The games start the same, but then split around Ch.6. If you buy one you can download the other story at a discount, but the digital version has both where you can choose(but then it locks? I hope that means for only that file.).
It's ok when Pokemon releases 2 versions because they are essentially the same (Sapphire version does't just change into yugioh part way through), but with this they're very different. What happens if I buy one version, but find I like the characters/gamplay from the other better? Yeah I could buy the digital version, but I'd prefer to buy a physical copy.

Lots of new info over at Serene Forest (http://serenesforest.net/).
There is a new mode known as Phoenix mode. In it, fallen characters respawn the next turn in battle. As if Casual on normal mode wasn't easy enough.....
Weapons have unlimited uses, but this will be balanced out by what I perceive as the return of weapon weight.
Spoiler
QuoteThe other radical change was the abolishing of weapon durability, something only previous seen in Fire Emblem Gaiden on the NES. Although durability is gone, the developers have tried to make players think hard about which of the various weapons they should use in a given situation.
For instance, some weapons may reduce the enemy's critical rate, while others may be extremely powerful, but difficult to attack twice with. There's also the fact that Hoshido and Nohr seem to have their own set of weaponry (eg. swords versus katanas), which could tie into this.
You can switch difficulty and modes after you start, but your decisions are irreversible.
Interesting! I'm really starting to get excited for this game.
Quote from: Maelstrom on May 15, 2015, 08:46:05 AMWeapons have unlimited uses, but this will be balanced out by what I perceive as the return of weapon weight.
I wouldn't be so sure about the weapon weight thing. Could just be that those specific weapons come with a Speed penalty, but other weapons don't. I'm guessing that different sorts of weapons just come with inherent stat boosts/penalties.
Weapon weight still might come back, they really need to compensate for unlimited uses somehow.

And now none of you have an excuse not to play mega man.
It's on PC, so yeah. I probably will get it.
Apparently they'll be on PC, PS4, Xbone, and this fall/winter, 3DS. So that's fun.
I like how this is more than likely due to the hype surrounding Mighty No. 9. Capcom has apparently had no intention of doing anything with Megaman for several years now, and now that some indie Kickstarter game based on their dormant IP is gaining hype, they're doing everything in their power to damage control.
Honestly Mega Man 10 was such a horrible game compared to the others that if Capcom can't do better than that anymore I don't really want them to make more games.
how many megamans are there, 25-30?
I don't think there are more than 11 for any individual mega man series (about that many for Mega Man and Mega Man X, considerably less for the other series), and to be fair the different series are considerably different. Overall, including all spinoffs and everything, I think 30 isn't too far from the actual number

30 I believe is still a bit too low, there are a lot of obscure Mega Man games that were either only released in Japan, didn't sell well, weren't really part of any series, or some combination of the three. For instance, there's a Mega Man soccer game on the Super Nintendo, there are a couple of arcade fighting games, there's a board game on the NES, a few games on the PC, and lots of stuff only released in Japan.
I'd say 50 is probably closer to the actual number.

There's a huge difference between debating and fighting. Debating is (somewhat) civilized exchanging of ideas, fighting is a d**k waving contest.
With all due respect though, I don't think Blue was trying to demean LGBT people/rights at all, but rather pointing out (keyword: practical impossibility) that it wouldn't work as well with a game feature (those being children).
How are homosexuals adopting kids a "practical impossibility"
Child, either admit your prejudices or correct your own statement, as it is obvious to all of its meaning, whether or not your intention.
Its a well known bigot argument that THE GAYS can't as a couple produce children in the "standard" way which makes them somehow lesser as either people or parents. It's not something you would generally say "by accident".
im gonna squeeze myself in here...
hi fsm o/
Bubbles, you would see fsm more if you went on Skype like the cool kids. 8)
I'm not saying (and I don't think he meant it this way either) that it makes them less of a parent (I'm a full supporter of LGBT rights and have several LGBT friends). What I was trying to paraphrase from him was that, since it doesn't happen naturally (and modern medicine wasn't a thing during the time of castle sieges and cavalry), a same-sex couple having a child might not necessarily work logically there.
Again, paraphrasing what he said. My personal view is that adoption would likely be a viable option, or maybe some magic spell or something.
Quote from: Dude on June 25, 2015, 08:32:49 PMThey adopt 2 kids so cry some more

Then great~ In the end, I'm just ecstatic that Nintendo is finally including options for LGBT gamers (which also includes, in pokemon X and Y, if you're a female, one of your friends sort of hitting on you regardless of gender).
Wait, the same sex couples can adopt kids in the game? That's actually really cute.

I was busy being the Batman.
Glad to see a sincere post. That's literally all you needed to say.
Good Work Guys!
For those who didn't actually read the article, there is only one female character a female can marry in one game, and one male the player can marry in the other game. In the 3rd path (available later as DLC), both will be available. Both can only be married by the player character. They are the only characters who do not have children when married. Instead, to compensate for not giving you yet another Est-type character, the same-sex couple can share skills between the two of them. This is made even more helpful by the fact that second seals do not reset the character level, limiting the number of skills they can acquire. It kinda makes sense that not EVERYONE is gay etc., but it's kind of disappointing for those that want it, as there's only one option.
Anyway, I'm kind of glad I missed this entire discussion.
Idk there's always this talk with Bioware games and the relationships in those, some people are like "but I wanna be with X", but I think it's entirely fair for the writers to be able to determine who they actually want to be gay/bi/straight and limit choices specifically in that manner. Yea sure you can't literally do anything but I think it cheapens character design when you just by default make every relationship possible. There are even some characters that have what appears to be romantic prompts, but who will just reject you ever time, which I find an incredibly amusing and refreshing concept considering how in most cases it's just "keep nagging and then ur a couple".
FE Fates Character Spoilers
QuoteFor those playing Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, your female avatar will be able to marry Shara. Shara is the child of Tsukiyomi, who first appears in Chapter 8. For those who have played Fire Emblem Awakening, Shara may seem familiar, as her personality and appearance resembles that of Tharja. She is very blunt and even turns to stalking those she thinks are compatible with her. Meanwhile, if Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is more your style, your option for a same-sex marriage is Zero. A former thief, Zero is known for being sadistic and loves to see other people suffer. Zero is not the child of another unit.
So the only possible same sex partners are a Tharja clone and a sadist.
I think people may have been making this out to be a bigger deal than it really is.

I'd have to agree with ThatGamer here. After MP8 I felt like it started to go downhill as things started to get more and more luck-based with fewer and fewer fun/interesting board mechanics and minigames. I guess it's neat but I honestly wished they would refresh one of their untouched franchises (I think I'll just give up on new IP from Nintendo) with something interesting rather than their usual sequel train.
But I'll always hope this and Nintendo will always let me down :|

Splatoon says hello.
I wouldn't consider another one of 9999 multiplayer shooters to be a notable new IP though.
What I'm hopelessly wishing for is some single player experience that's at minimum as different as mario sunshine was to mario 64. It doesn't even have to be new IP, just something besides sequel city. Or at least something that expands so tremendously on previous titles so as to be substantial as a sequel (what I am hoping the next Zelda to be..)

The collector's edition is beautiful, and I want it a lot.
Anybody else looking forward to Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam at the end of the month? I'm excited for it. I guess when I finish it I'll finally be able to say I've beaten a Paper Mario game (the others just didn't hold my interest honestly).
I am! It looks like a fun game.
End of the month already? Awesome, I'm getting it for sure.
It's really really fun.
I think it's officially my favorite.
But it's kinda short I think, haven't completed it fully yet. I'm at the last place you go I think and I've only put in I think 18 hours? Although I'm severely underleveled. Shits hard.
Wait, you guys don't have the game released already? Lucky ducks us Australians (and Europians).
We get it the 22nd.
I'm going to get it when it comes out here and transfer my save with svdt so it should be OK.
And if it doesn't go over then that's OK I can play the game again, I made some mistakes with leveling lol
I'm playing an EU rom lol
Lmao I was gonna say what the hell dude how
But that's good to hear it's as good as the others! I've heard it leans more toward M&L than Paper Mario which is fine with me lol. I hope the writing is as funny as it has been.
I think it's like 95% M&L and 5% PM so I wouldn't count it as a paper mario game.

About how I feel. I'm about 9 hours in and it feels like a smaller game than Dream Team somehow. I am glad it feels like a Mario & Luigi game over a Paper Mario game though.
Personal favorite moment of the game so far:
Twinsy Tropics
That fight against Wendy and Roy. I love how when you successfully counter Roy's boulder toss, Wendy gets hit and then squabbles with Roy, damaging him for you in the process. Truly clever and very funny.
Overall the writing does seem a little sharper than in Dream Team, though (the dialogues between the Peaches and among the Koopalings especially), and the pace is certainly much snappier. They seem to have taken the complaints about Dream Team's length and pacing into account, which is fine for most players I guess. Personally I love really long games. At least in Dream Team there was constant freshness, which comes in spurts here but gets bogged down by the Paper Toad missions. Still not crazy about those, even if the puzzles are markedly more clever than past games have been.

I just hate Paper Toad Freeze-out, where 9/10 you can't even complete the mission as the game doesn't put enough Paper Toads for you to win... Aside from that, love it! I like how it's more of a challenge than Dream Team, and even if some other elements were worse than Dream Team, gameplay matters the most IMO.

Personally, I would prefer a longer-length game than what was given; I just LOVED going in and out of the dream world almost constantly (no sarcasm, I promise) to do certain missions or other, and I feel as though the Paper Toad missions are Nintendo's idea of the Dream World Missions for Paper Jam. The Papercraft battles annoy me, but what can you do? I do, however, enjoy having to chase Nabbit for practically the entire world, because it adds little bits of spontaneity. Other than that, the game is pretty good (although I'm still in the Underground of Doop Doop Dunes [which I plan on arranging, by the way], so I have a while to go). 7.8/10

Man, Color Splash is looking too much like Sticker Star. :-\ NINTENDO, IF YOU DO THIS, PM WILL GO DOWN IN FLAMES.
Well hey, Nintendo basically just killed off Star Fox with SF Zero, and from that we can see that Nintendo's not going to learn to do anything right with the Wii U or fulfill fans expectations anytime soon.

I got it for my 13th birthday (Holy crap! I was 13!!) and immediately spent several hours on it. It's just so gosh darn adorable and the soundtrack is god-tier levels of fantastic. It's not really hard in terms of gameplay (it's literally impossible to die), but 100%-ing it is a challenge in itself and is incredibly rewarding.
And I've heard good things about Planet Robobot (that's the new one coming out), so if you've got a 3DS then I recommend picking it up.
It's such a cute game it'll rot your teeth and warm your heart and make you get ALL the warm fuzzies.
It's okay, but it's one of those play-till-you-win, no risks, everyone-is-a-winner games. Once I died for the first time and realized that, playing the game felt more like a chore. :/ I mean I know good games don't need lives and continues but KEY provided little motivation for the player to actually progress, other than the bedtime story-esque plot.
I guess I should tell everyone what systems I actually own before asking what games to play. I only have a 3DS and an XboxOne (which I never use)
Kirby Super Star Ultra. It's amazing and great and also really cute. Or, if you want something even easier and cuter, try Mass Attack because I've spent way too many hours replaying my favorite levels on that one.
Hey yeah Mass Attack was my first Kirby game that I owned! (I've played some previously before but never bought one.) I've never really heard anyone talk about it but it's definitely worth playing - it's a lot of fun!
Quote from: Hero of Trains on May 28, 2016, 07:07:32 AMKirby Super Star Ultra. It's amazing and great and also really cute.

(I have a burning hatred for Super Star and Super Star Ultra ok lmao)
QuoteOr, if you want something even easier and cuter, try Mass Attack because I've spent way too many hours replaying my favorite levels on that one.
hahaha "easier". Well, okay, the main game is, but 100%-ing it is ... one of the hardest things I've ever done in a Kirby game. Second only to 100%-ing Super Star Ultra. (Why yes I did just rail on SS/U and then point out that I 100%-ed it. It's because I own and have played every mains series Kirby game and insist on 100%-ing them even if I dislike them as much as I dislike SS/U)
Triple Deluxe is soooooo good
Triple Deluxe is the reason I want to try out kirby games.
Super Star Ultra is so much fun! So is Triple Deluxe!

Vita actually has more great games than the Wii U, in my opinion, but the problem is the Vita's great games appeal to a very small window of people (in combination with the nonexistent marketing for the console and its software, it doesn't make for great sales).
Quote from: SlowPokemon on July 03, 2016, 07:33:08 AMVita actually has more great games than the Wii U, in my opinion, but the problem is the Vita's great games appeal to a very small window of people (in combination with the nonexistent marketing for the console and its software, it doesn't make for great sales).
This is probably true, but Sony's not helping anything with non-existent marketing plans and zero 1st party support.
It's made even worse by the fact that nearly all the appealing 1st party games have been ported to the PS4, and most of the good 3rd party games like Danganronpa recently got Steam ports, or were on other, better selling platforms to begin with, like VLR or ZTD.
Come to think of it, Nintendo's handhelds have always been the best-selling of their generation. Ever heard of the WonderSwan? The Game.com? The N-Gage?
Also, Lost Future apparently ends on a sequel hook. Professor Layton: The Force Awakens will be great.
Nintendo's been the only one to legitimately try at handhelds*

While only pseudo-upcoming (just came out in Japan with no confirmation for the west), I think folks should be really hyped for Ys VIII if they own a vita/PS4. it looks like a promising action RPG and seems bigger and better than Memories of Celceta (Which was already amazing). Now that I think about it, back in the early 2000s, Nintendo wasn't afraid to experiment with the Mario world, with games like Sunshine, Superstar Saga, and The Thousand-Year Door. Then they slowly fell into the "try too hard to make people feel nostalgic" trap.
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games now has an official release date: March 24th. It will be on PC, PS4, and Vita. It's a collection of the first 2 Zero Escape games (999 and Virtue's Last Reward) with updated graphics and voice acting/CGs for the first game. If you haven't played them yet, I'm sure I can speak for Blue and Slow as well as myself that these games are definitely worth your time and money.
Yes!!! If it weren't for all of the video game things happening in March I'd definitely pick this up. As it is, I might skip it for the time being since I've played those two games a lot before. But when it goes on sale for cheaper, I may get it for Vita.
Zero Escape is love
Zero Escape is life (Actually Zero Escape is mostly death but eh close enough)

HOLY CRAP.
SOMEHOW I MISSED THE NEWS.
So, for those who don't know, the author of both Higurashi and Umineko will be creating a new series that is "completely different" but still similar enough to be in the same series. I'm excited, but we'll see how good the writing is. I'm not confident about that, unless he found a new editor at some point. If you don't know, his friend and former editor helped with Umineko and died after the 5th chapter. While I haven't reached that point, I've been told by numerous people the writing takes a turn for the worse, but is still respectable. Just not as incredible as the first 5 parts.
Danganronpa V3 is getting a simultaneous PC, PS4, and Vita release.
HYPE
YEAH BUDDY
NIIICE September will be two years since the last Danganronpa game (and three since the last main series game) so I'm definitely ready for that.

Undertale coming to consoles in September and the collectors edition comes with a ton of stuff including a sheet music book. Can't wait to see how the book compares to our own sheets~

Honestly, I never thought I'd see the day this would happen.
Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping it would come to Switch, but I'll make do with a PS Vita / PlayStation TV version. I preordered the collector version because my impulse control isn't spectacular at the moment.
^Same. Really looking forward to the physical goodies more than being able to play it on a sony console. Glad I passed up the physical ost now, lol.
Maybe it's just me, but that price point feels like a bit much.
Obligatory post where I bring balance to the force

Really? Considering most games alone are $60, getting one (physical copy), sheet music book, two-disc official sound track (complete, not just a sound selection), a freaking gold plated music box. Most collected editions of this magnitude cost in the $80-100 range.
The digital version is $14.99 on PSX, and the physical version without all the bells and whistles is $31 I think. So it's pricey yeah.
Maybe if it goes on sale, or something. Dunno. I'm not jumping to get it at the moment.
The new president of Nintendo in Japan had to go and ruin Nintendo's reputation by allowing Fortnite on to the Switch. Bad move, man!
Now come on, don't be one of those people that thinks an entire company is bad because of one game's availability. Fortnite is free and insanely popular (regardless of your personal opinion about it); they'd be crazy to not get a piece of the pie. And they're offering crossplay, which Sony doesn't, which is also a good PR move. Please don't blame Nintendo's president for everything that happens; that's not how a company operates.
Yeah; trying to stay competitive isn't inherently a bad thing.
It's absolutely a good thing and a great marketing and PR move! But Fortnite is awful and I'm not exaggerating or just going against the hype, it's literally an unfun and awful game with no charm or value for me
Yeah, you're right guys. I was just thinking about Nintendo's family friendly type. But yeah, now Nintendo's tweet with Xbox seems like the start of something, but Sony's not a part of that. Heh heh!
