Thank you! Would it be better if I just left all the rests in that I can then ask in the discord for clarification?

Not that I can find. The remake uses a different name for it, and the articles and other music sites I'm checking just call it "Entryway" for the most part as well.

3
Got that all fixed up minus the endings again! I tried exporting those and the playback is not correct so not sure how to fix all that in musescore, but if someone does know how I'd love to learn!

4
Ok I have it all updated. I could not add a First or Second ending however to the sheet. First ending would be measure 14 and Second ending would be 15. Thank you!

5
I had a lot of trouble with this song sadly, so thank you for all that. I'll get that updated here in a day or so and I can reply to your questions more indepth then.

      Atcero's Castlevania Quiz

Seems I overestimated how many people were CV nerds and how many people would get based on the games. Whoops

#1 (0/4)
"After Confession" - [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

Timestamp: 0:00

One of the best tracks from Dawn of Sorrow.
Guessed by:
No one, which will become a theme. To keep things interesting, I will start quoting the best dialog ever written in a video game ever for every "No one"
[close]

#2 (1/4)
"Hail to the Past" - [NDS] Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Timestamp: 0:23

Featured in Smash Ultimate as well.

Guessed by:
  • Yug_Guy
[close]

#3 (3/4)
"Mad Forest" – [NES] Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse

Timestamp: 0:22

Three people got this one, the highest number on this quiz. One however did not get it.

Quote from: Jake_Luigi
If there's Mad Forest imma go ballistic I swear

There was, in fact, Mad Forest on this quiz.

#4 (0/4)
"Mortiva Aquaduct" - [PS2] Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

Timestamp: 0:17

Not the greatest CV game, but has a hell of an OST

Guessed by:
Die monster! You don't belong in this world!
[close]

#5 (0/4)
"Top Floor" – [GBA] Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

Timestamp: 0:18

This is hailed as one of the best, if not the best, CV Metroidvania game. Has killer tracks and a pretty decent story for a CV game.

Guessed by:
It was not by my hand that I was once again given flesh.

#6 (1/4)
"Stage 1" – [NES] Kid Dracula

Timestamp: 0:07

When I first heard this, I had no idea it was just Beginning in a major key. Finally caught on a few times after I listened to it again cause I'm not always good at recognizing melodies (as shown by MSF's Quizzes)

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star
[close]

#7 (2/4)
"Revenge" – [GB] The Castlevania Adventure

Timestamp: 0:20

Did I have to pick the part that sounded like Bloody Tears? Of course. If LeviR.star can do it so can I.

Quote from: mastersuperfan
uh from a glance
#7 looks like Bloody Tears lol
oh
it's some variation
screw this

Despite that, two people did get it.

#8 (1/4)
""Passpied" – [GB] Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge

Timestamp: 0:02

A classical song shoved into a CV? It's more likely than you think.

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star
[close]

#9 (0/4)
"House of Sacred Remains" – [PS2] Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

Timestamp: 1:14

CV doesn't work too well in 3D with how Konami tried to do it.

Guessed by:
I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute.
[close]

#10 (1/4)
"Praying Hands" – [GB] Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge

Timestamp: 0:51

Best track in the game and I'll fight Levi on that since he was the only one who knew it. Wonder why.

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star

#11 (0/4)
"Bonus Track" – [PS1] Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Timestamp: 0:26

A hidden track only heard if you play the disc in a disc player if I remember correctly.

Quote from: Yug_Guy
Is there even any Super Castlevania IV on this list?
Symphony of the Night?

I was thinking about being even more cruel and using Saturn Exclusive songs but I didn't go that far.

Guessed by:
Tribute? You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!

#12 (1/4)
"Banquet of Spirits/Inside the Castle" – [GB] Castlevania Legends

Timestamp: 0:00

It being a GB CV game, it's not the greatest. The soundtrack however, as always, is 10/10

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star
I think this guy likes the GB games, can't tell though.
[close]

#13 (0/4)
"Aquarius" – [GBA] Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

Timestamp: 0:55

The superior version of Aquarius originally found in CVIII.

Guessed by:
Perhaps the same could be said of all religions...
[close]

#14 (1/4)
"Lullaby Sent to the Devil" – [ARCADE] Haunted Castle OR [WII] Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth

Timestamp: 0:31

This theme was so cool it transcended it's High Score roots and became it's own stage theme.

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star
[close]

#15 (0/4)
"Unholy Vespers" – [NDS] Castlevania: Order of Ecclasia

Timestamp: 0:07

None of yall have played any of the DS games and it shows. They're good games, go play em.

Guessed by:
Your words are as empty as your soul!
[close]

#16 (0/4)
"Calling from Heaven" – [GEN] Castlevania: Bloodlines

Timestamp: 0:10

This one I have to say upset me. Bloodlines is pretty up there with the Classicvania's and this is by no means the worst track, but since it wasn't Iron Blue Intention or Reincarnated Soul, no one got it.

Guessed by:
Mankined ill needs a savior such as you!

#17 (1/4)
"Walking on the Edge" – [NES] Castlevania

Timestamp: 0:22

A hidden gem in my opinion in the first CV's track. I do admit I messed up the first note (idk how but I did) but it still was pretty recognizable from that.

Quote from: Jake_Luigi
NOOO I JUST BEAT THIS LEVEL

#18 (1/4)
"Treasury Room" – [SNES] Super Castlevania IV

Timestamp: 0:16

One of the only good songs in SCV IV. Why? Cause it's not overly atmospheric and actually has a melody and isn't overplayed like Simon's Theme.

Guessed by:
  • Static
[close]

#19 (2/4)
"Monster Dance" – [NES] Castlevania II: Simon's Quest

Timestamp: 0:05

Also featured in Smash. Not so horrible of a night when this is playing.

Quote from: Jake_Luigi
19. Bloody Tears

SON OF A BELMONT
IT'S MONSTER DANCE NOT HECKING BLOODY TEARS
I'm a disappointment to the CV series smhmyhead

#20 (0/4)
"Opus 13" – [TG16] Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

Timestamp: 0:56

Fun fact: in the SNES version of this game, called Dracula X and the version the West got, they screwed up Slash and Opus 13 buy mixing the names around. So guess who thought this song was called Slash for years.

Guessed by:
What is a man?!

#21 (1/4)
"Underground Melodies/Basement Melodies" – [ARCADE] Haunted Castle OR [NDS] Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

Timestamp: 0:39

Best track in Haunted Castle, hands down.

Guessed by:
  • LeviR.star

#22 (0/4)
"Blood Fugue" – [MOBILE] Castlevania: Order of Shadows

Timestamp: 0:00

Can you say obscure or what? I forgot about this game and have never even played it. Seems like it has a decent OST though.

Guessed by:
*glass breaking*

#23 (0/4)
"Thrashard in the Cave" – [PS1] Castlevania Chronicles

Timestamp: 0:18

This game sucks for a Classicvania. Never liked playing it, I dont even know if I've beaten it. Music also sucks for the most part, Tower of Dolls is the only good track. Levi will throw hands with me when he reads this.

Guessed by:
A miserable little pile of secrets!

#24 (0/4)
"Clocktower of Causalty" – [GBA] Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

Timestamp: 0:08

This game. This game exists. Does it have a great OST? No. Is it a good CV game? It's average.

Guessed by:
But enough talk, have at you!

#25 (2/4)
"Cross Your Heart" – [TG16] Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

Timestamp: 0:44

I was picky on this one. Only 3 versions of this song exists, 2 of them being featured in games. Why this one wasn't used is beyond me cause it's the best version of it.

Quote from: Yug_Guy

What a horrible night to post a melody quiz...

That's right, its time for the

Castlevania Melody Quiz!

This quiz contains 25 melodies from all sorts of Castlevania games!

Here are some guidelines!:
1. There may be some songs I will require the game name from. I will tell you which ones if you guess it so don't worry about listing game names.
2. If you don't know the name of the song, that's more than ok! I will take areas it plays in as well, so you can list the level name if you don't want to go looking for the exact name.
3. I may have some things wrong cause I'm still basic with music theory. If there is something wrong please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll get it updated. With that however, this one should be a lot better than the last one so hopefully there's only minor things that need to get fixed, if they need to get fixed at all.
4. Have fun with it. I specifically demand it.
5. I will give one hint. That may be from the instrument used to an obscure hint. Who knows what the hint is? I sure don't until you ask.
6. As always, just DM me on here or Discord. Discord is preferred but if you don't gotta Discord on here works just as well.
7. This will run for only a few days and end on February 3rd.

And with that, good luck!

Edit: #6 should be swing but since I'm not good at finale in that regard I cannot notate it as such. So just imagine it in swing please.

Also known as "Main Theme" so can change that to fit it if need be.

11
Shout out to Radiak for helping with the melody in measure 38-40.

12
Thank you so much! It looks good to me, thanks again!

13
Ok I believe I have it all updated minus the formatting and breaks in the 3.5 beat. Thank you!

14
Sounds good, I have it all updated except for the ties as I dont believe I can flip them in Finale. They were correct in musescore so they just didnt want to export nicely.

15
I had to use a few tempo changes to get it correct so if there is a better way please let me know. Otherwise I believe I fixed everything!
