Hello!

I've been working on some interesting things lately... This is a piano reduction for the Tri Force Heroes cue from the latest season of Symphony of the Goddesses.

Request / [3DS] Tri Force Heroes - Multiple Songs

Grass Zone

Main theme, Grass Zone from this recording

Time is 6/8 for the Main Theme, 4/4 for the first 2 bars of Grass Zone, 6/8 for the rest.

q. = 100 in 6/8, q = 150 in 4/4.

It is to note the second video is from Symphony of the Goddesses. I'm working on piecing together a piano arrangement of the entire thing. This is the last piece before I'm up to date with the entire 4th season. If someone wants to help with the actual SOTG orchestration they're welcome to, but I really just need a transcription of the OST. I can infer orchestrations from that.

Piano Arrangements / Re: Quick glance at an arrangement.

Thanks! It should be noted that the chorus is the actual SATB part or the best approximation of it from the symphony itself. These were created from the full orchestra transcription I did. The piano book this is accompanying has the same thing for Movements III and IV.

Piano Arrangements / Quick glance at an arrangement.

Hello Everyone!

I have recently been working on re-orchestrating the official Symphony of the Goddesses piano book. There's a lot of good stuff in there but it missed the mark on a few things. So to compliment that, I arranged the overture for advanced piano and chorus (as the book has) so there's something extra there!

written in Sibelius 8.

I plan on being fairly active as I am a musician and more importantly a VGM fan. I've done transcriptions from Symphony of the Goddesses and am currently working on some from Symphonic Evolutions. Namely the ones that have the digital renderings on YouTube already.

Help! / Re: Non-finale music notation softwares
January 30, 2015, 02:37:08 AM
A lot of people are using Sibelius. I believe both Symphony of the Goddesses and Symphonic Evolutions were both orchestrated in Sibelius. I myself use it as well. It's becoming more of a standard as it gets better. And it's extremely intuitive.  Although Sibelius was in its past an inferior product. So most people used Finale at the time since it was superior. And most don't want to re learn a new notation program.

Quote from: stellarlights24 on January 16, 2015, 12:05:24 PMI actually saw their concert in Baltimore Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. I absolutely LOVED it. Marin Alsop (the conductor of the BSO) was fantastic and she seemed to really enjoy conducting that music! Makes me happy to see a famous conductor enjoy video game music!

I'm afraid up until the current tour they've toured conductors. You likely saw Susie Benchasil Seiter conducting (dark haired). She was a big fan of Marin Alsop so that might have come up in her spiel. If it was a blonde woman you would have seen Eimear Noone, who was the tour's original conductor. Both are fantastic. Susie is now conducting the Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions concerts to which I was so graciously offered to be at a rehearsal for, and I even got to sit with Chad and another student from my area and peruse the score while the PSO was rehearsing.

The premiere in Nashville saw the use for the first time in the show's history of hometown conductors, and the NSO's assistant conductor led the orchestra and chorus. Unfortunately I will likely not be attending when it returns to Pittsburgh, as I am somewhat friends with Jeron and Chad and I'm a little disappointed at how things shook down with that tour. Musicians and video editors have a right to their material, and sadly those rights appear to have been infringed by the production company now touring SotG, using Chad's and Jeron's concept and material without their permission. As a musician myself I would be angered if someone tried to perform my material without my permission.
