While I can certainly take care of fingerings/dynamics/articulation/etc., I'm a little bit concerned about the actual notes and as to whether or not they are accurate. Mainly because, I thought I had all the notes from measures 1-8 all figured out, until you came along and corrected me.

I'm usually more concerned about a piece being as accurate as possible with transcribing the music & notes exactly rather than worrying about extra frills or ornaments to the overall piece. While I would love to be able to do this, I don't think I'm advanced enough music theory-wise to recognize and implement that sort of thing.

(Though I do like the idea of playing octaves in the left hand; that'll be my first addition.)

Updated.

Quote from: Bespinben on July 28, 2015, 09:08:54 PMI took the time to THOROUGHLY spot-check your transcription, but I had to stop after the first 8 measures. This is the correct transcription.
Review m. 33+ as well -- it's similarly afflicted.
How exactly is it afflicted? Are the notes wrong? Are the fingerings inconsistent? Is the formatting wrong? Is it all three?

I believe this is what you're looking for.

Updated it with no 8va's, and put the B♭ from measures 26 and 30 into the left hand. The only problem is that I can't beam it, and that the right hand auto-formats the eighth notes to be together. Most of that I'm pretty sure I can't do in Notepad, so hopefully someone is willing to help me out.

Quote from: Bespinben on July 23, 2015, 04:02:51 PMI really hate to harp on this, but...
  • Remove the abbreviation "Pno." to the left of each system. It's redundant to even put that sort of thing on a solo. To remove it, go to the file info/score manager and where it says "abbreviated name", click it and backspace what's there.
  • Measure numbers are now required. They should occur naturally, but if it is an issue, select the Document tab at the top, then select "edit measure number regions". When the pop up appears, hit "delete" then "add". This should reset them.
I use Notepad 2012, and these instructions do not yield any results. I don't think it's possible for me to get rid of them unless I get a paid version.  :(

Quote from: Bespinben on July 23, 2015, 04:02:51 PMAlso, while I welcome your additions, always be mindful of their physical execution. There's an 11th interval in the RH of m. 26 and m. 30.
That's why I was hesitant at first to put in any of those extra synths. Some of the background synths got in the way of the melody, and moving it up an octave led to a severe case of hand-stretching. In this particular case, I'm just going to leave it in for consistency's sake.

Quote from: Bespinben on July 23, 2015, 04:02:51 PMAnother thought -- I think the 8va markings you put in m. 9+ confuse more than they clarify. In a context line this (descending diatonic scales), ledger lines will work just fine.
I wasn't quite sure what the opinion was on that kind of thing. I'll change it soon!

Also, don't worry about sounding like a harpy. You're an updater, it's your job to do this. Plus, I really appreciate all the valuable insight you give us newbies!  :D
