Every time I read about Pikmin games, it seems that Mother Nature is the antagonist, not whoever this Emperor Bulblax is.
Mother Nature doesn't make a very compelling antagonist, IMO, but it/she is a recognizable one.

I'm sorry, I have no clue who that guy in the picture is. Someone from a Warcraft game, big maybe?

Is this game about which antagonists you like and which ones dislike? If so, then I got it right.

I actually heal and hurt entries partially for more political/balance-related reasons. For example, I healed Kefka and Andross because I think they deserved better than 5's at that early stage in the game.

...although King Garon is such an obscure antagonist that I don't recall seeing his name in Fire Emblem plot summaries, and Balrog's the nicest remaining antagonist on this list by fairly far.

I suspect I'll be releasing a new minor-key composition in time for Halloween, but this time, it'll have more tricks.

Well, here's my new composition: Sonata-Allegro in F Minor ("Complexity Within"). It arguably dresses like a pirate and a tarantella dancer for Halloween, even though it's supposed to be stately and majestic.

I guess I'm musically dressing as this piece for Halloween.

How many movements do you bet my latest work is? Sonata-Allegro in F Minor ("Complexity Within") is a continuous sonata-allegro, sure enough, but it does manage to fit an entire scherzo and trio inside...which is fittingly based on the rest of the piece.

Don't all Indo-European languages have a ton of verb tenses and conjugations?

(From what I've learned, if Chinese has as many verb tenses as English, it doesn't really display that it in its conjugations. About the only conjugation I've learned is "le" for past tense.)

Darn, I thought #7 and #10 from Wah's quiz sounded familiar. Is that melody from #10 a recurring motif in Paper Mario? It sounded like the Goomba Village theme.

I was about to guess that the theme of that quiz was "pieces that aren't completely in major or minor keys", but I guess that says something about how people think desert music is supposed to sound like.

I think technically Skull Kid isn't a villain, but... when he wears the mask he is? Maybe?

I gave Skull Kid a pass because he's possessed by Majora's Mask for the majority of the game, and let's just say that the entity of the mask has some massive bad plans for the world.

Balrog is absolutely an antagonist throughout pretty much all of Cave Story.

Some antagonist he is when you can plausibly be sharing milkshakes with him by the end of the game, he's actively helping you out midway through the game, and you get the feeling he hates his employer enslaver.

At least I get the feeling that Kirby feels pretty uneasy about sharing milkshakes with King Dedede and/or Meta Knight.

Teemo is canonically Satan himself so I don't see why he can't be on the list.

Based on his LoL description, he's just as playable as all the other PCs in the game, so they all look like protagonists in my eyes. And yes, I'm familiar with Satan the protagonist.

Yeah, after reading his description, WTF is Teemo doing on this list.
And Balrog doesn't seem that antagonistic, either (after being familiarized with him before this thread came up).
Nevertheless, I have no clue how the guy I docked down got on this list in the first place, either.

Granted, what's "should have won" when the only thing preventing two users from killing off a game in rapid fashion is an unspoken gentleman's agreement to not post until at least 2 other users have posted, and you almost need at least twice as many users pulling up a game as those pushing it down just to keep a game at the same points level....

Which language is easiest to learn has complications, IMO:

• It's easier to learn French or Spanish if you know the other language.
• It's easier to learn German or English if you know the other language.
• It's easier to learn Japanese if you know English and/or Chinese.

There's a fair chance I'm abstaining from this question as a result.

Not to mention that it's much easier to learn a language when you're exposed to it daily (here's looking at you, French on Canadian food labels).
