Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on August 11, 2018, 08:37:03 PMAt this point, I'm going to have to copy the entire song over note by note to the new sheet, which isn't too bad considering the length of this song. I'll be sure to start with the template next time.

Not necessarily; if you're using NopeNotepad, you can Copy/Paste the measures (right, guys?).

Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on August 11, 2018, 04:30:00 PMWhat would one list for G&WG2 then?

Great question. I'd label it as [GB], because the GBC cart was a re-release, so we list it as GB (i.e. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening)

Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on August 11, 2018, 01:31:32 PM[GB?]

G&WG1 was only released to the GB
G&WG2 was released to the GB, and a year later to the GBC
G&WG3 was a GBC exclusive

^^ All of these saw re-releases on the 3DS Virtual Console. Hope this helps.

Also, if you want to chat over Discord about your sheet, I can help you fix it up.

[GB] Mario's Picross - "Puzzle Theme 2"

[ZIP]

Oh, this song has been done for weeks. Finished my first draft on July 11th, in fact; however, there weren't any slurs and the playback was screwy, so I put off polishing and posting this.

I started playing Picross NP Vol. 3 (untranslated) on Snes9x EX+ on my phone during lifeguard breaks (as if lifeguarding needed that many breaks), and heard this version of the song. I didn't know it was from Mario's Super Picross, nor did I know it had its origins on the Game Boy original, so had I not known, I'd be posting the NP version of the song here instead. Simple song; not as upbeat (tempo-wise) as the SNES version, but good enough for me. I'm not one to arrange for simple remixes. Enjoy listening to the jarring GB-sounding version while trying to focus on a puzzle.

P.S: My OP has been, once again, updated! Some changes include:

- listed the 14 covered consoles in the Key
- switched yellow to gold so on-site sheet titles can now be read properly
- transferred my deleted sheets to the bottom of the post (as they don't count towards my total)
- re-clarified some things in the Key (stop checking my 2-year-old sheets, THC!)

Toodles! Next will be another unfinished sheet!

Quote from: Latios212 on August 05, 2018, 11:42:06 AMHave you given any consideration to m. 3-4 where the two 16th note lines are in extremely close proximity and sometimes even overlap each other? I would strongly suggest moving one of them or otherwise doing something to avoid that.

Done. Thank you, Lat

Also worked through layers in m.5-8 and flipped L.H. 16ths in the last measure in a Discord discussion. Awaiting note-check now.

[MUL] Mega Man 9 - "Galaxy Fantasy (Galaxy Man Stage)"

[ZIP]

This one isn't incredibly old, but that doesn't mean I finished it in one go.

Anyway, while I'm disappointed that there was an occasional part that had to be left out, (or some part that could replace the bass, but would beg too much of the L.H.,) I'm satisfied with how this sheet turned out overall. This is one of my personal Mega Man 9 favorites, and I'm glad I could finish it. Not sure which one will be next, but expect more from this game... eventually. Enjoy! There will be another update coming tomorrow evening!

So the point is you need something to check off of because you can't trust your own "pitch judgement"? Either you could have someone else check your first few semi-complete sheets, or you should try AudioStrech. Latios introduced it to me, and it helps a lot if you need to make sure individual notes are correct.

Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on July 30, 2018, 05:06:36 PMFirst, that's not on the site.
 "an integrity thing"?

There are plenty out there, (including myself,) that can't resist to check someone else's out of curiousity. Trying a new song eliminates the temptation to base your arrangement on, or draw inspiration from someone else's.

Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on July 30, 2018, 05:06:36 PMSecond, what do you mean by your suggestion?

What exactly do you not understand? My "3 channel" tidbit meant that up to 3 notes can be played at once by the hardware.

Quote from: ShyYoshiGuy on July 30, 2018, 05:06:36 PM(even though it's not obscure, but there's no way you'd know that, so it's ok)

Let's see: a game developed for multiple systems, released separate years (with Europe getting it first,) based on an animated TV series, the second animated series and third TV show in the franchise, further based on a set of comic strip characters. Trust me, I know obscure, and based upon these conditions, the site's standards say this game is definitely inconspicuous enough for you.

Just because something is Zelda doesn't mean it's not obscure.

Why don't you look for some no-name devloper NES or GB games? There's plenty of them with soundtracks uploaded to YouTube, and they all (excluding some extremely special cases) have a max of 3 sound channels (minus percussion). If it were up to me, I wouldn't pick on-site sheets; it's kind of an integrity thing.

Start with this:

And now for my first Kirby sheet since December 30th!

[SNES] Kirby's Dream Land 3 - "Grass Land 1"

[ZIP]

This was yet another unfinished sheet; the only reason I didn't complete this in one go was because I wasn't really feeling motivated the day I started it. It sounds a little empty starting at m. 11, (not to mention the complete lack of percussion changed the feel of the sheet) but trying to incorporate the missing voice wasn't worth it, so I stuck to what the L.H. could handle, and everything else turned out fine.

I hope to do more DL3 sheets eventually (and if so, my next will be either Grass Land map or Grass Land 4). I've decided not to reveal my upcoming Mario Kart sheets until I submit them next (month?) Anyway, enjoy, and toodles!
