This is a little nitpicky, but I, myself, like to add slurs between grace notes and the notes that follow. Up to you.

Piano Arrangements / Re: Time Link's Arrangements

Quote from: Time Link on July 19, 2018, 03:55:38 AMWell, the song is really small (just five notes, actually). I was messing around on my piano yesterday and I figured the little thing it plays when you get a secret moon, but it's the first thing I've figured out and I'm really excited! ;D

Time Link, let me introduce you to the infamous NSM "bot". It spouts out random messages and will be banned in a matter of hours. It's not real, nor will it be able to interact back with you. Though, I must say it was entertaining to see it "communicate" with you.

The one where Jim Carrey is voicing Dr. Eggman/Robotnik? Yeah.

Yes, it is good data information indeed.

I asked Jimmy John's to write a joke on the bag for delivery. They just wrote "Subway".

Quote from: Latios212 on July 18, 2018, 07:27:07 PM- "Demo" and "Game Over" are about equally long and dense. If you put "Game Over" on one system, I would suggest putting "Demo" on one system too.
- Put the tempo marking for "Restart" in dotted quarter.

Done and done.

Quote from: Latios212 on July 18, 2018, 07:27:07 PM- Hm, page 1 has a fair amount of empty space, do you think you could try putting a couple of them on the same system - you could move Coin up to the first page? You don't have to, but it seems like it could be a better use of space.
- Page number and title on page 2 aren't vertically aligned. (Check to make sure this is correct in whatever template you're using, too.)

I fiddled with the systems and page size and now it's just one page. Made room for a neutral dynamics note, like the last two arcade sheets, and the order is exactly how I believe it should be: music and fanfares first, and any sound effects last.

Quote from: Latios212 on July 18, 2018, 07:27:07 PM- And I know it's kinda silly, but could we put a tempo marking for "Coin"? :P

With all due respect, I don't think this sound effect needs any specific tempo or rhythm. It's a coin jingle; the point is to switch from one note up 5 semitones as quickly as possible, like a grace note in any noted speed, and however long the quarter note needs to be played will be up to the performer.

As with most of the NES ports, the NES version had the music pitched differently, and the same key was re-used in the "Mario Bros. Classic" remake in the Super Mario Advance All-Stars ports remakes (+ Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga). I thought the players out there should learn a little bit of history.

That's my mid-2000s NinSheetMusic-styled sheet! You're the second person to notice, with Latios being the first.

Crossyourheart.mus

Here's my recipe:

1. Take the finished sheet, and convert it to .midi, but only if you're arranging it yourself
2. Create a .midi dump of said .midi; name the file just the title of the song without spaces
3. Convert the time signature to common time, no matter what it is already
4. Make sure the repeat at the end doesn't work with the playback
5. Delete the Piano marking at the beginning
6. Take a misspelled arranger nickname with some unspecific composer info and put them into the same line with no specific font style
7. Label the game name wrong and put it on the same line as the song title; omit quotation marks, too
8. Use (C) for © in the copyright info, and don't bother including the NinSheetMusic URL
9. And finally, if not already done, set the instrumentation in the Staff Manager to "Grand Piano", and make the unspecified dynamic volume really loud

And yet, somehow, after doing all of this, you have to admit; it looks better than the sheet I'm already replacing. How far we've come over 14 years. Files changed with the real sheet.

Couple things:
- Center-align the second-page title (it's a bit off).
- Center the mf in the first measure.

Notes look good.

Thanks a lot! Fixed.

The numbers don't tell you the size of the gaps; if you start with placing down squares for larger numbers, you can work your way through, and it'll get easier as you go. Number 1 rule of Picross: don't guess. Guessing and marking incorrectly results in a time deduction, unless you're playing Picross S, in which case it'll make it easier for you through a guess-and-check method, and that's a bad habit to get into.

We should turn this into a thing where one person says something completely false, and everyone else counters it with related, true trivia from reliable sources.

Time Link probably concluded that since Wario was in an NES game, it was his first appearance, but failed to notice that the game had an upgraded port on the SNES, or to find out that Wario's Woods was among the very last North American NES releases; it entered the market in 1994, 3 years after the launch of the SNES.

But, in that sense, when would you add the updated formatting if no changes needed to be made? If you had the option of submitting it perfectly the first time, and taking the chance that the sheet was fine, why didn't you take it?
