Wow this a beautiful piece!  I'd heard of Owlboy before but I'd never heard the soundtrack.  (Maybe I should have a listen sometime...)

Feedback:
-At NSM we require metronome markings on tempos (I understand the want to avoid them, but you can give approximates if you like.)
-In bar 19, I'm hearing the lower voice go up to a A# rather than a B as you've written it.
-I'm not entirely sure about those bottom of the piano Bs.  I think maybe the one in bar 18 is the octave up?
-I'm hearing the final chord in second inversion (i.e. with an F# in the bass.)  Also I don't think it's that low.  I think it should be the F# you've written at the bottom, then B then D# in ascending order.
-The piece never gets particularly loud, but there is some dynamic variation (I'd never go above mp though if I were you.)  Have a mess around with that and see what you come up with.

Nice work though.

Quote from: Yug_Guy on October 02, 2018, 04:32:34 PMIt's probably harmonized a third up, then. Give it a listen & tell me what you think.
Sounds fine to me.
Quote from: Yug_Guy on October 02, 2018, 04:32:34 PMThe reason I have the bass doubled an octave up is to try and mimic (or at the very least, account for) the guitar part, since I wasn't sure if I could fit it in or not. When you say G->F->etc., are the notes your suggesting in between the octaves? Cause if so, I'll add them.
It changes notes every two bars there.  Listen out for it and you'll know what I mean.  (And yes you could probably fit those in between the octaves to make sort of power chords).
Quote from: Yug_Guy on October 02, 2018, 04:32:34 PMI know, but the original just stays kinda static the entire time, and I'd rather emulate what the original is doing.
I agree, but in the piece they add in more instruments as it goes which is not something we can really do on a piano.  My thoughts were replicate this with a crescendo, but if you'd prefer to keep it at the same tempo dynamic (tempo!?) then I'll respect that decision.

Also I've noticed that you've got a misaligned note in bar 11 (the C#).  ALSO also for some reasons the ties in bar 6 and 8 seem to disappear during playback.  I have no idea what causes this but since they appear on the pdf this a minor issue.  (Still interested in what's causing it though.)

Good work, this is looking nice.

Edit:  Whoops I hate to edit feedback into a post, but could you also think about the system distribution?  The first page looks pretty cramped and you've got quite a bit of space on the second page.  I'd move one system from the first page to the second and then you can move the title and composer/arranger info down a little.

It's important to be patient, but it's also important to remember that people are under no obligation to arrange pieces for you just because you request them.  You might find that a piece you request never gets done, and that's OK.  Remember that everyone here is arranging free of charge in their own free time.  If someone does take one of your requests, that's great!  Be sure to thank them properly when it's done as they'll have put a lot of hard work into it for you.

Quote from: Sebastian on August 19, 2018, 07:20:36 PM- M. 8 & 12 are quite squished. All I did to fix it was randomly click in the measure and it auto-fixed. Try that.
This still needs to be fixed.  Also I found some others bars that had this problem.  I'd go through clicking on every bar just to make sure they're spaced correctly.

I'm not hearing any wrong notes though, so well done on that front.

Something that isn't a replacement?  Preposterous!

-For the melody line in bar 29 I hear G D Eb D (all dotted crotchets).
-There is a guitar part (first heard in the opening bar) that seems to drop in and out of your arrangement.  For example, you have it in the first bar but then you leave it out for the next section (bars 2-9).  I believe it wouldn't be that hard to add in as in most places it has the same rhythm as the bass (you could just leave it out when it doesn't).  In that opening section it seems to play G -> F -> F -> Bb.
-There's a glissando in the organ part leading into bar 26.  Might be a thought to put it in?  I think it might make the transition that little bit more flashy.
-I'm hearing the organ line in bars 22-25 a third higher than you've written it.  i.e. D -> Eb -> Eb -> F.
-The run in the bass at the end of bar 9 I'm hearing as Eb Db C Bb Ab G rather than En Eb Dn C Bb Ab.

I think that's everything in terms of notes.  I have got one other suggestion which is to add a little bit of dynamic variety into the piece.  You have a build up from 18-25 which I think personally think would benefit with at least an mp -> f crescendo.

I'll have another look over once you've made some fixes.

Such a cute piece!

-Second chord of bar 2 and the subsequent two chords have octaves below in them that you have omitted.  Playability reasons?  Certainly the first two wouldn't be too hard to play, and the third is doable.  It just seems strange that the bass drops out for those three chords in my opinion.  You then also miss out the B in the bass in the final chord of that first system which changes the inversion of the chord. (V7 -> I sounds different to V7c -> I).
-Final chord of the piece has an E in the bass.  (Same E as before.)
-It seems odd to me that everywhere else you've written parts together (rather than hands together) (e.g. the first bar the top G and then the top F# are played with right hand) but then in bars 8 and 12 you've beamed the bottom part with the melody.  Since everywhere else you're keeping the melody separate I'd continue to do so here.
-I know I'm the last person who should be calling someone out on this, but maybe you should put the minim rest back in for bar 18.

I think that's all I have.  Nice work!

I'll admit that I'm not really up on competitive pokemon, but that was pretty fun to watch!  (Also the other person being really salty when they lost was pretty amusing.)

Quote from: Brassman388 on August 21, 2018, 11:39:11 PMTinker with it, make it your own, and come to the best decision that you can for it. Only you can come up with it since it's YOUR arrangement.
I can't say it much more clearly than that.  If you're not comfortable with that freeform structure, then you don't have to go with it.

I'll be back with more feedback tomorrow.

I'm not sure we'll be able to ... quite manage that.

Nice work everyone!
