Request / Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Zelda Medley
June 13, 2008, 06:36:37 AM
It's pretty good notewise. A few problems here and there with the notation. It needs to be cleaned up quite a bit and combined. I have an advanced version of Finale and would be happy to clean it up a bit and combine the two sheets if you like. (BTW, I won't be able to do it until I get back from vacation.)

Help! / Does anybody know who composed...
June 13, 2008, 06:30:46 AM
Does anybody know who composed the music for the original SNES Harvest Moon game. The only name I could find was just, Chacky. Is that the only name given, or is it a nickname or what? If I have to I'll contact Natsume themselves, because this is going to go on my CD.

Quote from: Gamer4250 on June 12, 2008, 09:01:00 PMYes, but you're most likely some religious fanatic like TRL whose opinion doesn't count.

Anwaaaaaaaayss...

The new NP sucks, its time to move on to kotaku and joystiq etc etc.
I'm not a religious fanatic. Yes, I am a christian, but I'm not some uptight guy that goes around screaming bible verses. I'm not in a cult or anything.

It is a swear word when used in certain context. the same thing as several other swear words. People use them as dirty words, when in origin they weren't. What the H, I consider swearing, and I just don't like swearing.

@Starpikachu: Did you buy the Video Games Live score? If I wasn't homeschooled, and was in a school band I would try to get that! (I know where to get a full score book of the Kingdom Hearts Marching Band Suite too.)

It is true that a lot of video game songs would be short, but you can arrange them to fit. You just change it around in different parts. You could try arranging some Uematsu. A lot of his stuff is really long, like Aerith's(Aeris') Theme, Final Fantasy VII Main Theme, or.....yea....DANCING MAD!!!....although you would kind of need an organ....

Quote from: starpikachu on June 07, 2008, 05:02:42 PMAmazing. Nintendo should put this song in a future Zelda game. ;D I never thought a song could be made from simple arpeggioes. I played a song made of scales before, but it wasn't completely made from scales. It had scales, arpeggioes, etc.
LOL. Thanks. You would be amazed at what you can do with arpeggios. I especially like the way Uematsu uses them in his preludes! This song wasn't that complicated to write, it took like....I don't know 20 min? I have some better ones, but their not finished yet. I'm writing a prelude, a waltz, and a etude type piece. I'll be sure to post them when they are finished.

Quote from: mikona on June 06, 2008, 12:40:56 PMI'm learning a simplified version of Claire de Lune (I think that's how it's spelled), and a song from a set called "New England Memories" that I didn't learn before. I know the other two songs though.

Oh, and I was going to learn a nice fancy version of "Be Thou My Vision" but my piano teacher lost the music and hasn't been back up to the city to get it again...and I'm almost done with piano lessons for the summer...
hey, we played that song in band for our spring concert.
anyway, im learning Fur Elise by Bethoven, and the King of the Hill theme song
I know that Fur Elise! Very nice if played well. Its fun to play too!

Okay Vote for your favorite game console!!! Please tell me if I am missing any other important systems!

My favorite is the Phillips CD-i, and favorite game is Zelda: Faces of Evil!!! XD
Okay, stupid joke aside, I like most of the Nintendo systems pretty well, and I like the Playstation 2 a lot. however, my ALL-TIME favorite would have to be the Super Nintendo!!! It was the first system I ever had, and I grew up playing a lot of SNES games. Even now I still love them! And if you're an RPG fanatic like I am, the SNES is THE system to own!!! three of my favorite SNES games are...
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Here's is another of my compositions. It came about while I was playing around with arpeggioes of different keys. I thought it sounded very interesting, what do you guys think?
