What non-video game music are you learning right now? I'm learning....

The Pink Panther Theme - Henry Mancini
Sonata in A Major - W. Mozart
Prelude in Eb - Sergei Rachmaninov
Grande Etude de Paganini #3 ~ La Campanella - Franz Liszt (Just started....it'll take a while cause it's really hard.)

Quote from: Shadoninja on June 03, 2008, 09:30:52 PMall of you should expand your game music knowledge, there are 10,000+ songs that are better then fountain of dreams and fire emblem from ssbm.

how about a castlevania medley.
I'm not talking about the Fire Emblem theme from Melee. (heard on the Hyrule Temple Stage.) I'm talking about THE Fire Emblem theme.

Here's an excerpt of the Brawl version. - http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/music13.html
The Brawl version has choir with it. The original is just full instrumental. (You can find an MIDI of it in the SNES section on VGMusic. Under Fire Emblem 3)

Music / Need help choosing song...
June 04, 2008, 09:29:46 AM
I'm still working on all the tracks for my CD, but I need some help. I've never played Earthbound before, and I've only heard a few of the songs. Suggest a few more so I'll know that else to go through.

Thanks for sharing....but....uhh....that's kind of where everybody already goes for MIDIs...It was very thoughtful of you to tell us though ^_^

Under the link to the music board there is a little box. What's that? Is it just me? (My computer crashed, and I just got it fixed.......and it's settings are all wonkey!)

My PC froze up a few days ago while I was listening to music, and when I restarted my PC it would not restart, so I had to completely redo my PC from the factory settings.....which means.....I lost all my MUS's. Some of them I had printed out, but some I hadn't. The ones I want to know if anybody has are...

Kids Run Through the City Corner (FF6)
The Prelude (FF6)
Victory Fanfare (FF6)
Odeka de Chocobo (FF8)
Forest Maze Quartet (Super Mario RPG)

I'll add more as I see what I printed out, and what I didn't.........now I gotta go reinstall EVERYTHING!!!

Help! / Re: Double-dotted
May 31, 2008, 09:44:13 AM
Quote from: Dude on May 29, 2008, 01:00:05 PMfor example

A double dotted half note = Half note + Quarter note + Eighth note

If I'm not mistaken ::)
Exactly as dude said. A double dot adds another 1/4 of the initial beat to the note. So if a note gets 2 counts. (Half) a double dotted half note gets 3 and a half counts.

Yea.....just think, Super Smash Bros. 9 comes out, and you grandson gets it for his birthday.....then you totally pwn him, because you've been playing for like 60 years!!
