The Werewolf Game / TWG V Signups
May 18, 2010, 04:21:51 PM
I'm making this for MG, he's hosting it but his forum permission doesn't allow him to make the thread. Anyways, sign up.

   MG's game:

-------------------------------------------------------

In Nakylvania, many centuries after the run in with Sir Deku, there is peace. Until a mysterious man shows up one day. He goes to a local pub and acts like any other guy, just someone passing through. The only difference, is there is an odd feeling surrounding him. In the pub, he sits and waits to be served. After gets his drink, he drinks it, and leaves. He stays the night at the inn. The next morning, he is gone.

That same morning, when people wake up, they notice they no longer look the same. This brings about terror when people run outside, and notice that their entire village is different. All of the buildings look different and are no longer in the same pattern even. A messenger is seen running down the street, yelling at everyone that a meeting at the council has been called. There is commotion because the council meetings are meant to be private, but then someone figures out that it is impossible to tell who the council members are.

At the council, the last person runs in to say they are there. Just as the meeting is about to begin, another person runs in and says that he got there as fast as he can. The entire council is confused on whats going on, and during the confusion, another two supposed council members join them. There is a lot of arguing about how to decide who the real council actually is. Suddenly, a shout is heard from the corner of the room.

"SILENCE!"

It was the mysterious man from the day before. Everyone turned to look at him, and he walked towards them and he began to explain what's going on. He said his name was Dionysus decided to have some fun, and turn the town into his own play thing. He changed the looks and placement of everything. So no one would know what is what, and who is who. He cut off the city from the outside world, no entering, or leaving Nakylvania. He also brought in 3 spies, that have joined the council. He announced they must find his spies and kill them. If they do, he would return Nakylvania to the way it was before. If they would fail at this task, they would all be killed.

One of the members of the council spoke up, and asked what Dionysus would be doing throughout this. He replied that every day, there would be a lynching held, and he would be the executioner. And every night, he would have his spies slaughter one member of the council. Another person spoke up and asked when the cruel game would begin. With that, he disappeared with a bang, his voice echoed.

"It begins tonight, prepare yourselves."

Well, that was fun to type out. I realize there are a few plot holes in there, but I didn't take the time to think up a good way to write them into the introduction story. IE, they could use their names to identify themselves. They cannot, he also altered everyone's name so it is no longer the same. If there are any other major concerns with the plot, let me know and I'll iron them out.

This is for 12 people. There will be the 3 spies (wolves). Two daring council members, one playing a role of guarding supposed council members, the other spying on other supposed council members (Guardian and Seer). Finally, there will be seven regular council members (humans).

Completed and on site

Yes this is a very strange request to be asking for, but if anyone could take a look at this and see what they can do I'd appreciate it.

I don't know where to find an mp3 for this, but the song starts at about 2:30 into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiooamNzbyA&feature=related

It's not too difficult, but I can't seem to find the right chords to play.

Post your ideas here. Make sure your games are balanced(check with me or kotor or someone experienced), and we'll all vote on who's to play. Also, make sure if you're new that the games will work and won't involve some ridiculous feature that makes it unrealistic.

The Werewolf Game / TWG IV: (Now Postgame)
April 29, 2010, 08:53:14 PM
All PMs are out. The starting phase is Night 1. Night talking is allowed. Phantoms are on. Three phantoms equals self-lynch. Enjoy

Oh, and did you think I'd forget the story?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a murky morning when Sir Deku awoke in his bed. He sat up and looked around his room. "At last." He thought. For today was a very important day, and at last it had arrived.

See, now Sir Deku had spent all last night, and the night previous, and the one previous to that, and all the ways back to one day a few years ago when the idea of living multiple lives occurred to him. The idea of leading a civilized life to the ordinary eye, then living another when that eye is turned, exhilerated Sir Deku. His particular interest was that of the fabled Vampires of the north village in the mountains, Nakylvania. He knew that if he could acquire their blood, and transform only momentarily, then he could gain their alliance and rule this civilized world. So one day Sir Deku did just that. He went to the village, and through various obstacles and adventures he finally acquired the blood he had longed searched for. Then he returned to his lab and brewed a multitude of potions to transform at will.

Sir Deku stood up from bed and walked to his cupboard where the potions were stored, but to his suprise, all of them were gone!(only three remained). A thief must have stolen them while Sir Deku slept. To make more would require more vampire blood, and Sir Deku was too old now to venture off to slay vampires for their blood. This was a problem for Sir Deku. Now he was at the will of a thief, for there was a note on the cupboard where the potions were stored, and it read:

"To the maker of these potions:

Yes, I know what you've been up to. I have been watching you quietly from beyond site as you attempted to gain the trust of these monstrous creatures. I will not allow you to go through with your plan, and so I will use these potions against you, and have your alliances betray you, be it the humans or the vampires. You will transform at MY will.

                                                -Thief in the night
"

Sir Deku felt sick to his stomach, but could do nothing about it. He must catch this thief, for people were beginning to become suspicious of vampire sightings in the night, and that meant his clan was moving in, and that he must conceal his identity. Sir Deku walked out the door and onto the street.

------------------------------------------------------------------

It is now Night 1. Please send in all PMs necessary. Night ends Friday at 11:00 p.m. EST

The Werewolf Game / TWG IV Signups
April 19, 2010, 06:56:32 PM
Come one! Come all! Sign up and join the exhilarating game of TWG(The Werewolf Game). New to this forum and don't know what TWG is but are interested in playing? Well look here for the rules and gameplay: The TWG Rules

So basically, I'm going to host this game to get things rolling again in this forum(hopefully). Signups are open to everyone, but please, only sign up if you have the appropriate amount of time to play(can check the game thread at least once per day).

So now that you've read the game rules and roles and are all familiar with how TWG works, here's what I have planned out for this game:

TWG IV: The Strange Account of Sir Deku and Count Dekula

Yes, that's right. This game is vampire themed.

   ROLES:

2 Vampires(regular Wolves)- The wolves know the identities of their fellow wolves.
Sir Deku/Count Dekula- This role involves a team switch. This means that every time the Potionkeeper uses a potion(3 the whole game), Sir Deku becomes Count Dekula, and vice versa. Each switch lasts until another potion is used, and all potion uses are final. Count Dekula(how original har har har) has the ability to vigi. Sir Deku has the ability to seer. Here's the catch: If any of the wolves wolf Sir Deku, then the game is over and the wolves win. Now if Count Dekula is lynched by the humans, the game is over and humans win. If Count Dekula sends a pm to the host(me) guessing the two wolves, the game is over and he wins. If Sir Deku sends a pm to the host guessing the potion keeper, the game is over and he wins(everyone else loses)
Potion Keeper A member of the human team. Has 3 potions to use all game. If the potion is used then Sir Deku becomes Count Dekula, vice versa.
6 Humans Seek to kill Count Dekula or the two wolves.

   Player List:

  1. Master_gamer38
  2. Sir Awesomesauce
  3. JaMaHa
  4. Dude
  5. Jake3343
  6. SuperFireKirby
  7. Universe-X
  8. Concerto
  9. Pumpy_heart
 10. Kotorfanboy

The Werewolf Game / Anyone Up For Some T.W.G?
April 18, 2010, 08:59:35 AM
I'm going to see if I can get another one of these games going fairly soon if people are willing to play. Part of the reason for this is because I'm addicted to TWG like the Cookie Monster is to cookies, and the other part is because there is a newer community that's around these days than back when I started TWG I. I'm therefore hoping that this game will unite a lot of you on a different level, as well as being an entertaining experience.

Due to the critical thinking involved in TWG, I ask that you only consider playing if you are serious in your participation.

That's not to say that any of you TWG oldies can't play, you are, of course, the teachers for any new comers as the FFR'ers and myself were to you.

So what do you guys think, anyone up for some TWG?

Project Archive / ATTENTION ARRANGERS
April 15, 2010, 03:07:55 PM
Tell your fellow arrangers(if you know where or how to contact them) to wake back up and start coming back! I'm going to be doing weekly updates for as long as time permits, and those who aren't lurking about the forums might miss their chance to clear out those month and month(possibly year) old submissions! Come on! With all of your help we can make this "weekly update" idea/fantasy a reality.

Submission Archive / Next Update!(Even Sooner)
April 14, 2010, 06:50:49 PM
I'll follow Concerto's model for submission threads, but this time I'll allow only 3 submissions per update(this is because I'd like to try and get around roughly one update per week). So post any sheets that didn't make it before and have been fixed or improved along with your submissions for this update.

   Happy arranging!

PS. You have until Tuesday April 20th at 12:00 a.m. to submit your sheets, otherwise they will have to wait until the following update.

I know there's been threads like this already, but most of those who posted in them aren't really here anymore so I figured I'd start a new one. I've been playing on and off for maybe a year, but I started playing a lot more recently and I'm looking to get more people I know onto my server. Post your ign here if you play(or played) and the server you are/were on.

It'd be cool to get more people on one server if there are anymore of you guys who play.

December 21, 2008, 01:36:47 AM
In the irc last night a few people and I played around with www.iscribble.net. The sing is pretty fun you can fool around and draw stuff which is pretty cool for a while. If anyone wants to come on when we're on we can all start up a room and stuff.

      Pictures:
     It's JaMaHa!

We had a pirate ship contest. Everything in black is ETF, blue is SuperZombie, gray is MG, and green is me. I think I hit the nail on this one.

Yeah so post whatever funny pictures we come up with in the future in this thread for everyone's entertainment.

The Werewolf Game / TWG IV Host Signups
September 20, 2008, 09:07:58 PM
Alright, post your game ideas and roles, with a brief description of the story. Everyone will vote one who to select as their next host. When voting bolding isn't necessary, as it'll be quite easy to tell whether the general population wants one host or another. Post them below here and I too shall decide as well.

Alright, I would like to say congratulations to the humans for finally winning their first game. Legitimately won, at that. It's even better that it was accomplished in this game which is the final game that I'm hosting for a while. Again, congratulations you've come a long way since TWG I. Now, roles are as follows:

   Roles:

   1. Sirus-Wolf(Realm Keeper)
   2. Brawler4Ever-Human
   3. iDOWN-Human
   4. pumpy_heart-Seer(Motzhand)
   5. Wrydryn-Human
   6. KotorfanboyHuman
   7. Jake3343Human
   8. Blah54Wolf Shaman(Crazy Hand)
   9. MasterPenguin-Master Wolf(Master Hand)
  10. Master_gamer38-Mason
  11. Gooch-Human
  12. SuperZombie-Mason
  13. HugoMeister-Mason
  14. DaveyTheRebel-Human
  15. Dekudude-Guardian(Windfish)

   Comments:

Beginning with Night 1, which resulted in MasterGamer dieing. This was a big blow to the masons as they had a guy die the first night by random wolfing. I think what should have been done was have one mason come as saying they are a mason and master was a mason and the other mason is in secret. Have the Seer go and seer them, and if there were no counterclaims to someone being a mason, then it would clearly suggest that they were telling the truth. At this point the guardian should be guarding that mason. Alliance would be formed between the masons, guardian, and seer. Imagine how much quicker the game would have went.

Mostly, the wolves were inactive most of the game. Props goes to MasterPenguin for an excellent first game. I was surprised to see that he took the initiative in making all the decision this game, I would agree wil most if not all the decisions he made while he was alive. Sincerely I congratulate you, sir. Other people mentionable of a congratulations are iDOWN, Hugo, and Super Zombie who played particularly well as always. Davey dropped out pretty early on, Deku dropped out twelve minutes before his death. Phantoms came way too much and as you can tell I did not enforce the rule as much as I should have. Pumpy palyed well, except was pretty inactive for the most part.

Oh, creatures were Bowyer the first Night. Bowyer gave the player the ability to shoot an arrow at another player stunning them and not allowing them to participate at all in the game for one full day and Night. It was given to Wrydryn who used it on iDOWN. If I remember correctly, it did not work because he withdrew the PM to me telling me to not use it, then decided to use it but Night ended before he could sent in the PM again. Next was Birdo, who shot eggs at someone and would not allow them to perform their skill that Night. It was used on Pumpy who had to forfeit his seering that night. Rest of the creatures were rather cliche, it was Switcher that was the final creature I implemented. It was given to MasterPenguin who used the skill on blah. This skill made reds seer as green and greens seer as reds(for that particular player designated). It was not usefule though as pumpy never seered blah before the final insta was made. Extra was merely a creature was used to bring back iDOWN with resurrecting.

The level of playing this game was advanced by a lot. Mostly everyone was able to play the way I intended the game to be played. Many defenses were brought and arguments formed. Formulated ideas were able to take place as well in it. I would especially like to congratulate Kotorfanboy for playing extremely well and beyond my expectations. His ideas and suspicions followed what I would do and what was actually true with the roles very well. The entire game he continuously amazed me with his logic. I was a bit skeptical of him at first, except his playing completely changed my perspective of him. It's because of this that I feel he deserves the MVP of this game particularly. His ideas dominated the elements of the game in all aspects. Congratulations Kotorfanboy, excellent job done.

I think I'll end this now and allow you guys to discuss the rest. As you know I'm not hosting the next few games or any games for a while now. I shall make the host signups thread in a while, make sure if you want to host you post there but until then good game and thanks for playing it.
