for what are those stars you see under your profile name (like by me Lapras Lullaby, 5 stars)

HugoMeister

Its sort of like your ranking.

If you post more, you eventually get more stars, and the phrase will change to some other nintendo-based music pun. Really its just a gimmick, it really has no other purpose.

It's your rank. To put it simple: The more posts you have, the more stars you get.

Long story: When you reach a certain number of posts, you get a new "rank" (which is only for aesthetical purposes). Each rank has a corresponding number of stars to it.

Yes, I'm still around from time to time. For quicker response, you can reach me by PM, or drop by Smogon to say hi. I go by "Codraroll" there, because of a bet.

I know!! It's ridiculous! If you check out his profile it says he makes up to 12 posts per day. WTF!! How is that possible without acting like a forum spammer? :P

Dude

I think I only have 600-700 posts, but I'm not sure. I'll check once I post this.

And no, I don't feel like pressing "Profile". Shut up.

Haha, way off. I didn't think I posted that much anyway. Oh well.
