dang i couldn't find teh topic with that question answered.. anyway u save an midi to your computer... then u right click on the midi... click open with.. and then select finale notepad (or whatever your using). finale should open up (or if it's already up then it'll start opening the midi already). and after a short or long wait the midi will open up for u to see...

#2 way(or the way that I use).
Open Finale Notepad and Press "open."
Now you should see a page with a bunch of files, and at the bottom you should you have:
File Name: Ladeedaddeeda                      \/
Type of File: Finale Notepad(*.MUS)         \/

If you click on the arrow on Finale Notepad, you then have three choices:
Finale Notepad, MIDI File, and All files.
Click on MIDI File and the files on the page will change. All of the MUS's will be gone, and be replace with whatever Midi's that you have in that folder. This folder should hold whatever midi you want to arrange. Now, just simply click on the specified midi and hit "open." TA-DA!!!!
you can now view each specific note of the midi in Finale Notepad.

That's because its a .wpl. I've never heard of a .wpl.
It might have to be a .mid for my way to work.  :-\

The-Real-Link

Right click on the midi file link. (The one on the internet or whatever.) and click "Save Target As" save it to a folder or whatever. Now open Finale, and then open the folder. Then drag and drop the midi file into the finale window. It will then sequence the MIDI into sheet music. (Warning: It is often VERY messy sheet music!!!)
